Hmm so basically any kind of damage with CF is going to be costly. I guess the same could be said for the mould boards as well although I’d reckon it wouldn’t be as much. Just out of interest does CF suit all boards, short, long etc… or is it better for just one particular type. I saw a pic of one i...

In line with the Tool visit (for those of you who own the Third Eye version off Salival) I thought it was apt to quote this old acid head: "Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we are going in this ocean of chao...

My $0.02. Boards such as those made by NSP are tough as nails. I have owned and used one regularly (at least once a week) for two years. This is in all the varieties of breaks you can get on the Vic East Coast from beaches to reefs with a mix of heavy and light surf. The board has never had a ding, ...

^^ Was never in to eye-liner and black hair, but I sure miss me ol' reboks pumps... how cool were they (rhetorical)??? Back to the Future and Teen Wolf were the shiz, and Van Halen/David Le Roth (sp?) was the music. Was more a Janes Addiction fan myself mate! I remember that cheerleader chick in te...

Does anyone ever have the urge to dack blokes who do the pants halfway down their arse with the underwear sticking out? Or alternatively giving them a massive wedgy with the exposed jocks? Yeah, me neither... Either of these looks are ridiculous, but you can multiply this by about 100 when they're ...

I think a lot of you northern beaches crew dont understand how the area is. I think voilence is never an excuse but if you have an entire suburb of housing commissions at your beach your gonna have some bad kids come out of it. it is inevitable in a suburb of houso's that your gonna have kids form ...

I'll watch it, looks interesting enough and I like to always see Australian films as much as I can. I can't stand all that Hollywood crap. As for the gang element, big deal. All big cities have gangs, especially in low socio-economic areas. I reckon the only fact that they are a "surf gang" is becau...

Biggest wave I have ever caught was a 6 footer at Gunnamatta (high tide)on my mini-mal. For my skills and ability this was a bloody good achievement. Nothing special about the wave but the drop and the speed I got using the bigger board was the best I have felt. Having said that I much prefer 3-5ft ...

Is it just me or does it seem that only shortboarders seem to end up as lunch these days? I reckon the bigger boards may make the sharks think twice and go for something they percieve as smaller. Not that a Great White would probably care either way but the smaller ones may... Just a thought and I h...

It's happened to me a couple of times. Probably was my fault for all I know too! A few times the damn thing has wrapped around my calf and squeezed it tight enough to ensure a nice leg cramp is right around the corner. The timing of the cramp is always exquisite too, just as soon as I jump to my fee...

Definitely get a mini-mal. Check out the the NSP range of boards. http://www.newsurfproject.com/ They are very tough and have enough variety in the range now to suit most people. I have a 7ft 6 mini-mal one. Catches pretty much any wave you care to go for, turns well enough and it's easy to paddle o...
