Re: Debate over shark killer rages
/\/\ I dunno about all that NC. I advocate for instances after an attack where death has occured to kill that particular GW. Case in point was the guy in Perth swimming, and a patrol boat followed the 5mtr GW for 2 days while it was in shallow water and did nothing. We cull dingo's on Fraser, a true...

Re: Wetsuit outlet/seconds store
For me, you still can't beat the old Ripcurl Dawnie.
3/2 steamer, its flexible enough and you get at least 3 season out of her. $349.00 is a bargain for it.

Re: Debate over shark killer rages
Is this the one you used Braithy? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjtAwlvgNpQ No. The one I used attached like a legrope and trailed out into the water the same way this one does. But the actual unit was attached to my leg by a big chunky legrope. After about 4-5 minutes of jumping off the boat, swi...

Re: Debate over shark killer rages
Wow, alakaboo. You are like wikipedia. I hear you, the problem is the sharks you don't see until you feel them. I'll be at Straddie this Xmas, so I'll pop into Rufus and take a look. Although I got a fair idea what I'll be seeing. I have a photo somewhere from a reader when I was working at ASL, it ...

Re: Tufflite boards
I was board shopping and found a webber afterburner in the tufflite epoxy version. I'm a little serious about getting it. Anyone ever had a tufflite board? They feel like they'd snap in two in a 2ft shorey ... The guy trying to sell me the board was pretty convincing about the future of surfing bei...

Re: Debate over shark killer rages
I remember trialing the shark shield system off straddie a few years ago. All I got was electric shocks from it. The unit was super chunky, and heavy. I was only swimming with it, and at the time I couldn't imagine surfing with it. At times the shocks would be debillitating ... It actually got me th...

Re: Debate over shark killer rages
Why do people - mainly sufers - discriminate that there is a difference between culling/ killing sharks, as opposed to Dingo's on Fraser Island? If a cat enters my yard, and my dog being a dog eats the said cat, the council come and declare my dog dangerous and he risks being put down due to this. I...

Re: Debate over shark killer rages
We fcuk with the marine environment everyday all over the world. To the maximum. Trawlers rape the ocean, the japanese rape everything that moves in the sea. Overfishing tuna and every other species of fish will inevitably -if it hasn't already - bring a severe unbalance to the marine ecosystem. I r...

Re: Debate over shark killer rages
we should conduct a poll.
I say kill it. Kill any white over a certain length you see in the area while you're at it.
I'm not one of those guys who say we're in their backyard we need to respect them. Fcuk that, I respect my legs and having them way more.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Surfed my spot 'out in front' ... Not the super popular crowded point. It was 3ft, offshore and other than a little inconsistent, pretty perfect with 5 out in the water. But, holy shit I have alotta catching up to do. best part of 2 years out of hte water due to injury and then work ... I was/ am ph...

Re: Tufflite boards
Just bought it and hada quick paddle in some 2ft closeouts on main beach. It seems effortless to power it around the lineup, catch waves and duckdive ... I kinda like it so far, it feels loose and has some good push through dead sections. Hard to say as the waves were sucking up and closing out, I'm...

Just about to start studying, so right now cash isn't a problem. But in 6 months it will be.
Were you referring to the stock Webber tuflite, being to lightly glassed?

The one element of this thread which is harder to digest than Roy's astronomical price for these wooden calamities ... Is Roy's claim he doesn't eat mushrooms by the kilo and smoke hydro by the pound. Roy is sky high. That just shows how out of touch with reality you are. Roy's as straight as an ar...

I'd love to hear what NC hasta say here. He goes balls deep on the ASL board bible every year, and surely he has tried out Tom's tuflite model?
