Re: getting old, dont want struggle on a shorty

Look at Mitchell Rae's Outer Island boards, stuff for Indo is great take your personal Plimsol line in with you. Consider also a custom Wizsticks from the central coast, the 7S designs came from here for the weightier/older guys and the customs by Wiz fit Indo well. Also Jack Knight wherever he is (...

Re: Surfing

GoPro video from the nose of a board shows surfing as epileptic fit gyrations in a shower. You want advice, get your horizons level in landscape shots, don't over use scenic shots, again and again. Think of something unique and video to add to your video. GroPro POV of surfing is absolutely noxious....

Re: Ask Carroll

Very like an injury you'd get playing netball on a hard court! worth a serious ouch! Maisson-Neuve fracture with the complication of a break in the lower tibia. More of a motocross or football accident. Oddly it never hurt that much, just the terrible sense of impact then some swelling and numbness...

Re: Bali for beginners and intermediate

Interesting there otway but I always wonder about the difference between a beginners wave and the other sort particularly in Indo. The question remains is it good? You know you might have an easy wave that breaks for 20 metres and that a beginners wave or one that breaks for 150 metres and you can ...

Re: Coffs Harbour artificial reef plans in limbo

That's the reality of it, another reality is that surfing is not exactly a social necessity, I mean why the FCUK would anyone seriously propose that councils and State governments spend millions of dollars rendering an artificial reef when there's people who actually NEED social services, like for ...

Re: Bali for beginners and intermediate

Part of the selection would depend on your family /40th partying requirements. If you consider it early you could look at Heaven on the Planet ( lombok) and book for the group. http://www.heavenontheplanet.co.nz/location. Lombok is a 40 minute flight from Bali pick up at the airport. Inside Ekas in ...

Re: Beyond the Rectangle. Surfmats.

It will be interesting going to North Bali as a no surf trip away from the madding crowd. To show my wife, old Bali much as i knew it when I first went there. There are rumours of a rare and occasional surf there, so the stealth craft are being taken. A Krypt mat and a fourth gear flyer. It will be ...

Looks OK but still yells tourist as much as the Hippy campers and the Wicked vans but much more up market.

I got a subie outback and had soft racks, but wasn't camping though. Might do one of those vans if I was doing it as a singleton.

If U go to Vanuatu not really expecting to much, then U will have fun. March is prime surf time. Light winds generally offshore. Stay at breakas resort of U got no kids. Left point/reef out front. 5mins to port Vila. Another left point a k up the road. Put Vanuatu surf into YouTube search bar, ther...

Corpses in the morgue have a longer shelf life because of the amount of preservatives ingested in the dear departeds lifetime.

Re: What ever happened to full deck grip?

MrMik; I have had the stuff on my board in a sock on the roof of my car for a couple of hours, no issues and sometimes in my car for similar periods, haven't seen any problems. An issue than would blow it literally, would be if your application left air cells under the stuff, heat would delaminate th...

Re: What ever happened to full deck grip?

ANDY technically that is not a full deck grip, since none of the SUPurating crew ever get past the halfway point as you can see .
AGREED however not popular with surfers!
