Re: Length and Volume

Sounds like i shouldn't have sold my 6'5 Stretch Quad to my mate... 6'5 x 19.5 2.625 = 33L

Can always get another one i guess

Length and Volume

I've been riding a 6'2 x 20 3/4 x 2 5/8 Firewire Dominator (round tailed fishy shape) but have had some trouble getting into waves when it gets above head high. The volume measurement on the website is 38L. I'm 5'10 and 82kg. If i was going to get a longer board to aid with getting into bigger waves...

Re: First quad feedback

I did that with my powerglide when i got it from Grant Miller in January and my board bag still has the smell in it... I leave it in the garage now so i stop thinking about buying new boards.

Re: Summer Lovin...boards for mush

I didn't end up getting a Biscuit or Fishcuit in the end. Went down the firewire path instead, and then wound up getting a Webber Mini Fish. I love trying new boards. I've been surfing a 6'2 Firewire Dominator recently and i really like it. Has 5 fin plugs so you can have a play around with the fins...

Got about 6 blokes together for a camping/surfing trip. Get in touch if you need the board surfed or transported between Kings Cross an...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

I know how you feel about Gunnamatta Hatchman, I had a similar session there earlier on in the year that i hold in the top 3 surfs of my life. http://forum.realsurf.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=15694&p=334532#p335486 I still have trouble sleeping when i think about how stoked i was after that one. ...

Re: FCS Quads - What are you using ?

I've only been paying attention to board designs for about two years so hope this isn't too silly a question, but is the single channel through the fins on Quads something you came up with yourself or has it been done before? I've obviously seen other channel bottom boards but never the single chann...

No small boat time for me ever again  I'll never live that dream. Shitty second hook. Did a session on the Dubai flowrider on a booger once when i was an Able Seaman  I know some guys that scored a few breaks in the Solomons... but nothing like yours Longinus. BTW, the Navy Surfers Associ...

Was out at NN yesterday and saw a few guys on Mini fish doing pretty well, they seem pretty popular up that way.

Re: 5 fins?

I've got a 6'2 Firewire Dominator that i want to give a go as a finner. It's set up as a quad at the moment with 7's and 3's, and it's going really well. I'm thinking about using a GS Trailer fin for the 5th fin. I've got a few combo's in mind and thought i'd get some opinions first. Would you just ...

Re: FCS Quads - What are you using ?

Went for a surf yetesterday arvo at Wanda was about shoulder to head high on the sets. Set the Dominator up with S-7's/S-3's. I only had a couple of surfs with the MR/S2 combo, but it feels easier to turn with the smaller fins... Looking forward to trying it out with 5/3's. Going to give it a go as ...

Re: Concepts and Principles of Surfing

Hot tip Caveman, Something i've been working on a lot lately. It's not much of a problem for me on longboards, but i've been recently surfing short boards more often (webber mini fish and firewire dominator). I noticed a mate of mine getting up a bit late one surf and when i sledged him for it, he's...

Re: FCS Quads - What are you using ?

Took my 6'2 Firewire Dominator out this morning with MR-TX fronts and the S2 rears that i got off Pridmore the other day... I haven't been to keen on this board since I bought it a few months ago, but today it all went really well. It never felt like it was going to slide out like it did with SF4's,...
