RS is probably being hammered because anyone can create a thread and links within threads don't contain "no follow" tags which means there is a potential search engine rankings benefit.
Spammers create scripts that hunt out forums/guest books/ blogs to dump spam and links based on certain criteria.

Kauai vs Maui vs Big Island in August
I have had the extreme good fortune to be given a trip to Hawaii in August by a mate. We are planning on spending a week on either Kauai, Maui or the Big Island and then 5 days on Oahu. I know that this is about as off season as it gets, but I'm hoping that there may be some long distance south swel...

If you are on a budget there are a number of campsites near hossegor. I camped at Vieux Boucau (15mins Nth of Hossegor) a few years back and it was pretty well set up. There were also cheaper but more feral options near seignosse. If you are going in early September the weather should be still good ...

I find Stab frustrating at times with its biased, contrary, hypocritical editorial and its sometimes "light on" approach to publishing. (maybe a sign the editors are getting good waves). However they are the only surf mag asking hard questions and not spinning the usual line of "we're all cool young ...

Beg to differ on Balangan being mellower than Bingin (if that's what you mean, Chong). I was thinking more about the crowd factor as it can be easier to get waves at Belangan because of the sections that most people (except pros) fail to make. Kuta reef is soooo fun. I personally don't like middles...

I surfed mid north Maroubra on Sunday between 2 and 4:30. It was windy cold and underwhelming at the beginning. It got better with a few lumpy rights breaking semi properly. It was pretty bizarre surfing with a handful of other people on a Sunday arvo at the 'bra. Then again it probably looked cold ...

We really are a bunch of cnuts on this site Laughing Laughing p.s. i dont think many (if any) on here would have much of an idea to where you can get lessons Ok maybe I was too harsh. If you are serious about trying to improve and have the cash I would recommend Martin Dunn, although he isn't in Sy...

Hit up Uncle Nicky Carroll. I reckon he could provide excellent coaching and tips that would help you become an super star wave slider in no time. I think a equitable rate for coaching would be somewhere between $750 - $1000 an hour (you might be able to negotiate a discount for frequent coaching se...

What about another category "permanent blow in". I washed up in Sydney's east 9 years ago after a few years travelling the world and basically never left. I'm comfortable in the fact I will never be a true local as I wasn't born here but happy that my (future) kids may be able to acquire local statu...
