Timothy Leary, William Burroughs What about Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters?
These guys didn't surf. I guess they were looking for something as good as surfing is.

That clears that up for me. I have never seen a D fin for a fin box. How much pressure would that put on the box? I've got an old reverse D fin I ripped off an old pig board I used to ride ten years ago. Never got around to putting it back in since the board is something of a write off with lifting ...

Proning out
I've been reading all the stuff the lid riders have been saying about how advanced they are and have concluded that everyone should start proning out :D Just imagine how deep you could get if you were lying down on your board 8) . Surely normal surfboards would perform better as bodyboards than body...

This all paints a pretty bad picture for the east coast. When you add these developments together its going to be one overdeveloped mess after another. We are all responsible if we don't try to do something about it. I don't even like going up to the Tweed Coast anymore. What a scam those very old l...

Its funny about the central coast. You can overlook the most obvious spots and hunt for waves without getting much for your search. As far as "secret" rights go up there; I have found saturday morning is very crowded and grumbly. When the pub has been open a few hours it mellows out a bit :D . I may...

Yeah, I have been wanting to see those for a while. The last newish movie I saw was Down Side Up, I think. Hot surfing but pretty repetative. The usual crew, some good Hawaiian footage. That Bonga Perkins movie was interesting too with some great footage but I find it hard to listen to testimonials ...

Hey locals :D How committed are you to your break and is it worth it? Are you committed to a break that noone else will surf? Is it because its too mean or too lame? Thats a big difference  . Are you committed to a break that everyone surfs with hundreds of locals? Half of which you regard as b...

Good call, Wanderer. However, I really think some of those movies at $5 a pop, if your lucky, give you a real insight into the early days of surfing and also how Endless Summer became what it is. I wasn't a part of surfing or anything else much back then so its all new to me. One of the things I lik...
