These 2 Bells clips are interesting to me, apart from the surfing styles. They demonstrate what is meant by "vicco doesn't barrell". the sqiurrel is good surfing. its not a turn nor is it a pump/backfoot drive. its something completely different than that, its the squirell.

^^ i dont know get this footage on here, but loads of footage kelly surfing longer boards especially early 90's. if some one could get that footage of kelly surfing outer hawaii island somewhere, maybe 95 or 96. i think it a good comparison, hope someone knows what i m on about????

how about the body surfers in pipe contest, they do body rolls(think that what it is called) in the barrel. i reckon some is impressive stuuf, very good waterman

I made a board for a guy who got a firewire just before he got mine and he said he paid $900 or a grand and then they had the hide to ask him for an additional 150 for the fins...who sells a board without the fins ??? they are getting themselves a bad rep from what I hear... here another thought. watching those guys throw 8' 9' boards around like they 6'4.
one local guy, pretty stocky. rides 8'2 and rips the bags out of just about any wave. is always a stand out no matter who else is in the water.

Shearer, When I watch that clip I cannot help thinking that the footage I now see of Pipe locals sort of makes that surfing pale a bit. Vision of the local's surfing Pipe is disseminated more now and I realise how much, at Pipe, they dominate the surfing of the visitors. No doubt, good surfing ... ...
