Re: post your modern day sickness

Width and thickness.
I think I’m about 177cm and 80 kegs.
If it was 19.5, 2.5 be perfect.

Re: post your modern day sickness

Yeh, all I meant was that it’s just designed with that type of wave in mind and there’s heaps of those waves in the ocean too.

Re: post your modern day sickness

Well I’m sure there’s been heaps of them.
And they’ll go good in the ocean too.
I bet Kelly has had a bunch for his pool.
There’s the LSD Noa Chlorine that seems pretty popular on the north coast and Gold Coast.

Re: post your modern day sickness

This one is single, double, single exit though.
Maybe changed it up after testing his.
Feels like it’s PU with epoxy.

Re: post your modern day sickness

So many bargains on the 2nd hand market at the mo. Picked this up, completely mint condition for $250, no haggle. Probably a tiny bit big but couldn’t pass it up at the price. Not sure if it’s a twin+1 or thruster. https://i.imgur.com/G3AGam8.jpg https://i.imgur.com/RoU166D.jpg https://i.imgur.com/V...

Re: that wetsuit discussion...

These were awesome custom Japanese suits.
Terumi would take your measurements in Byron. Not sure if they still doing them as they were putting a fair bit of time into her partners electric bike company Vallkree.

Re: Midlengths

I surfed the new midlength/step-up hybrid at the super bank in 3ft wind swell this arvo.

Put some bites in it now.
7.5” admiral futures flex fin with modii mini bites 2.8”

Went well.
When the wave bowled out it was excellent.
Can’t wait to surf it in some proper waves.

Re: Midlengths

Modern better in that it looks like you can surf them in solid pumping waves with confidence. Though they wouldn’t be my choice. But I have an MR in my quiver because I like what it does in small waves. I don’t have a modern twin. MR has just put out his midlength twin plus 1. I reckon that’d be fun...

Re: Midlengths

I’m not that good a surfer but I reckon my style is better on a midlength or longer railed shorties than a hp short board.
Others are the opposite.

Re: Midlengths

They have their place. I’m better suited to the single with sides. Watching 10ft sth swell Lennox a year or so ago that had some big burgery wall sections and a guy on a long twin gun was seemingly effortlessly criss crossing as if he was cutting fresh tracks on a snowboard. All the regular boards w...

Liberal, but a Mal Turnbull sounds like an appropriate name.
