Keep in mind that 'displacement hull' is a misnomer when applied to these boards as they are primarily planing hulls. Probably the only true displacement hull surfboards are ancient olos. Boards like that do carving turns very well but are not good for snaps. Within the3ir turning range they go rail to rail more easily than wider tailed boards.
