Re: 7S Superfish Feedback
Does anyone think that $80 or $90 is a reasonable price for a long armed rash vest? Not a 1 mm vest or anything like that, just normal rash vest? oldman, I just bought two long sleeved "Golden Breed" rashies for $12.95 each from Trade Secret. They fit well, stretch properly. A nice, pretty blue. :w...

Re: October
Well spotted Trev, although I notice that the Goldy buoy has died just as the Mooloolaba buoy came back on line. Have they just changed the name on the buoy?? Will certainly come in handy for checking the swell heights at my fav SC beachie now!!! Yeah. I was concerned about that, too. Hope it...

Just reading some of the above brings back memories of my tyre industry experience with Chinese/ Korean and SE Asian products. The end result is that, from about 10 new tyre plants in this country about 25 years ago, we now have just one small operation by Bridgestone and it's anyone's guess how muc...

Dare I say I hope the campaign is exceptionally successful, thus reducing the numbers of tourists looking to learn to surf in Queensland?

Both Shane and Mark have some valid points. I rarely buy a surf mag these days. In fact, I can't remember when I last did - at least a couple of years ago. I do read the odd one from my local library, though. I'm surmising the various mags do research their market, else they'd not have much t...

Does anyone think that $80 or $90 is a reasonable price for a long armed rash vest? Not a 1 mm vest or anything like that, just normal rash vest? I saw some the other day for $49. No name brand but had the proper amount of give in it - not like some. I'm badly in need of one. My current one is all ...

^ok, the ultimate test for you now.. is, the next time you see one like i pictured above, pick it up outta the water, turn it upside down, and repeatedly rub it over the softs of your neck, face, chest, and forearms, and enjoy.. that'll curb any future doubts you have about their apparent 'harmless...

Ahhh! Beeoootifull! That soutn swell wrapped nicely into my point with llloooonng lines, up to 6 waves in a set and no long waits. Well, actually the really good sets only came through about every 10 minutes but there were smaller (2'+) sets pretty well all the time. 3 hours from 5am. Longest this o...

Re: Why do people dry surfboards?
It's simple. Dry your board regularly and if you don't see any sharks, it's working.turtle wrote:^^ drying your board repels sharks

There's going to be a bag under the board with about 20 kg of gear. -carrying tent, sleeping bag, spares, tools, springsuit etc. Speed usually is about 20-30 kph on the flat depending on the wind and the road. Raising it higher (to flat) also raises the centre of gravity. I have since minimised the...
