Re: Midlengths

I’m stoked that autumn is on the way. My 6’10 crossbreed didn’t get a look in over summer. Missed the few swells we had due to work commitments and when I did get in the water, i surfed a sweet 5’10 swallow tail with a Full length vee that a good mate of mine shaped me. Had a massive kook moment yes...

Re: Midlengths

Jet will prob buy it. Looks nice. I was very tempted. But I’ve been put on an allowance by the Minister of War and finance. Must include all surfboard and beer purchases. Haven’t board a new board since the Jye Byrnes 6’10. Haven’t needed to. The quiver has a bit of everything in it so I I haven’t ...

Re: Quiver thread

canned the business idea. was going to get a few products put onto Amazon. Seaxe is sensational. had it out up at saltwater a few weeks ago. getting waves from the end of the point to the beach... love it. don't remember the last time I paddled that much. got the quiver culled a fair bit these days...

Re: Fish

Fwiw I think your fish is too big. I am 6'0 and was 74kg and I rode a 5'4" when I lived in San Diego. Could ride down to 5'2", and wouldn't go longer than 5'8". Different waves though. I think a fish shape is a bit limited but I have a 5'6" summer board that's fun as hell in small clean surf. I don...

Re: Fish

Had another session on the fish this arvo.
Damn tempted to go shorter again. Dug the nose it a few times. Might needs to get the stance widened up. Or straighten the line i’m taking off on. Or both?

Saw a 5’7 x 20 5/8 x 2 1/2 on the gumtree for not much. Might give it a crack.

Re: Fish

My new fish 5'8 x 21 x 2.25 Flat bottom image.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpeg Been on the midlengths and shortboards for the past 12months. Rewaxed this after a failed sale attempt. Thank god it didn’t sell. Head high point surf. Lightning fast. It’s got me curious though. I’m 5’10 and 80kg. Nor...

Nice Jet, you can certainly mix it up with those options.

Have you gentlemen run the crossbreed as a single?
Haven’t ridden it as a single. I have ridden my seaxe as a single and it loved an 8” Alkali fin flex.

Re: Midlengths

I like the look of the JB JET. The grey or black stuff works every time. Make sure the surrounding area is clean and dry. Get a pair of scissors to cut clean edges on the piece of tape and make sure you put it down carefully so there’s a perfect seal around the edges. No crinkles anyway and you’re ...

Time to fire this thread back to life, I just bought a McCoy...... Only joking! This is a 90 page thread spanning 5 years, it's a real surf midlength chronicle, plenty of good info and boards we shouldn't have sold!
Never thought it would go this long.
