Lots of fun on the mid tide near the club house - great way to end the week.

Manly mid morning on low tide = mostly close outs (better surf there earlier in the week)

NC says "Sydney surf population is by and large semi-skilled recreational and middle-aged" - obviously you have seen me surf although I am now 61 years old so not exactly correct.

Manly, cold, only a few out and just not clicking (well for me). Bower looked big.

What is sometimes more interesting is the range of scores from the judges eg Freds second counted wave in the final had scores of 9.8, 9.2, 9.5, 9.5, 8.8 (looks low).

So the 9.8 and 8.8 were dropped for wave score of 9.4

Manly around lunch time, finally after a long week of nothing - not bad considering the crowd and tide.

Now toledo spanking Julian.......he has to win the final (imagine the claiming)

yep, further south and sure looked like some growlers were coming through up there (better waves for me yesterday).

Another week of northern beaches close outs...very frustrating

Manly, small but amazingly no rain and even sun in the arvo. Was a gamble surf, very likely to be average but with the very small chance it might be OK on a rising tide - and it was average at best.
