Re: " but I still love the old world"....Where to from here?

You're confused mate. And in a state of denial. Never thought I'd see the day when it becomes cool to come on a surf forum and say your not a surfer. Good show. I love the logic though. Great, I'll wait for my membership badge in the mail shall I ? I was doing Ballet with my 5 year old daughter in ...

Re: " but I still love the old world"....Where to from here?

I have never considered myself a surfer, Says the man writing on a surfing forum. I don't think posting on a surfing forum makes you a surfer. Neither does going to gerroa and spending 2 hrs in the kook school. And I don't really see my ability and engagement with the sport / past time / whatever q...

Re: " but I still love the old world"....Where to from here?

I have never considered myself a surfer, I doubt I ever will. Thus the culture is something I merely observe, I have no stake in it.

I guess I think more along the lines of gibberer, except I don't fall asleep in my food, but then I don't undertake drives of epic proportions either.

Re: that wetsuit discussion...

Anyone see the irony in complaining about surf companies restricting where you can buy their products, loving how cheap you can get them (cheap materials and labour)and the general claim about how important it is to support local shapers? Not irony at all- with wetsuits its the same product from th...

A snare that retails in Australia for $800+ delivered to my door for about $350. A Kitchenaid (240v) mixer that retails for about $700 delivered for about $370, and that's one he...
