Re: Wetsuit repair help wanted
just get some neorez, as the above posts mention It's stretchy rubber cement. Any proper surf shop should have it, should be under 10 bucks and will last you a lifetime. Got a suit that was repaired 5 years ago and still going strong. Up to you, and the size of the hole as to whether you need a patc...

Re: J Bay Pro - No Dane
bobby's pissed with the new world tour format and particularly the judging, his twitter is a good read. I think they're deliberately not mentioning him.
official line is he flew in on the his heat was run but was late and missed it.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
It has and it hasn't, very dependent on the angle and period, I've found recently. And the sweep  Makes decent size Kirra look like a millpond. Bit down the way it was nearly twice as big, but I was woefully undergunned for that, and couldn't conceive of how you'd actually get out the back. T...

Re: Volume calculator?
you can download akushaper and play with it until you get roughly the right shape.
Takes a bit of getting used to, but it'll probably get you within 5l or so if you get all the measurements right.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Not today, but yesterday. And not here, but almost 1000kms north. 3-4ft+ semi-protected beachie but with some offshore focus doing absolute wonders. Huge sweep, it was 2-3 waves then a km walkback. Very solid, one set turned a 6ft leggie into a 15ft leggie after tombstoning for about 30 seconds. I'm...

Yeah, those two seemed to have the place wired, or at least be able to respond quickly and correctly.
Check out the wave Bruce Irons gets in one of those Surfline links. They show the frames, then the video for realtime speed and adjustments.

Re: Fiji this Week
Yeah, they certainly paid their dues for the shots. Even if I had the skill and balls to paddle into those things, I sure don't have the fitness or flexibility for the beatings. It looked on some waves like it was almost too big and fast, there were a lot of them where it looked like the guy was in ...

I know they normally go to ones which are sketched out recoveries, but that was clinical.

Re: J Bay Pro - No Dane
I reckon it's bloody direspectful of Slater to carry on like this. It's disrespectful to the contest organisers, to the ASP and to his peers to simply not turn up. As world champ he has if anything a higher responsibility than his peers. He is the main focus of promotion for this event (along with ...

Re: more stolen stuff
Good news Mark. Natho, we went through the same thing. The bloke was wanted for 27 robberies in the local area, he wasn't too smart and got fingerprints over everything. Ended up getting done on a drunk and disorderly up at Newcastle. Had to do a recorded interview, never had to go to court thankful...
