Re: Hilux SR5 4WD For Sale

Yeah, the Toyota SR5's are an excellent rig mate. Had no drama's with it, and just put a new timing belt in as per log book.

Re: Surfstitch Mona Vale store closing down

Man, I heard about the accident, and was down chatting to a few of the guys who shape next door and they told me it was Brendon. I'm devastated to hear the news, he's one of the nicest blokes you could ever meet, very humble and a good surfer, with whom I've surfed and competed with also. My best wi...

Re: V-Bottom - 6'2" x 19 1/4" x 2 3/8"

I'm always keen to try a new idea or feel in a board! Not really a new idea Captn, this bottom shape has been around for years. You'd probably find one in a cash and carry, just look for a board 20+ years old and I'm sure it'd have a V-Bottom or a Reverse V in it. A bit of info regarding Vee's and ...

Re: V-Bottom - 6'2" x 19 1/4" x 2 3/8"

Hey Dug, I rode a custom I had made for me in 1988, had a heap of fun on it and this lead to me getting Neil Wheeler to shape one with a few tweaks here and there. The board is made for typical Sydney waves from 2' - 4'. I ride all sorts of board and they all serve a purpose and have a different fee...

Re: V-Bottom - 6'2" x 19 1/4" x 2 3/8"

The V starts blending in @ about 12" from nose and just behind the back fin from the tail. Transitions easily from rail to rail and that's to be expected, and arcing cutbacks feel good. The front fins are also set @ 10 1/2" and back ones @ 3" which frees it up a bit. Been using the GOODS-1 FCS fins....
