Yep, sounds reasonable. Footy ovals in Australia are often indoors or otherwise well shaded.Beanpole wrote:My theory is apart from being generally volatile they play footie because they get cooked at the beach.

Not as long as it looks...
6' 3 1/2'' by 19 1/2'' by 2 1/2''
Some crazy tech involved, and some sweet handfoiled fins coming with.
I'm yet to lay hands on it, but I'm frothing already.

Re: 2+1 Set Up's - NPJr
I've messed about with widow set-ups for my 6'6" rounded pin-tail 'step-up', I reckon not enough people ride 2+1s as good wave boards, they've kind of been lumped in with rubbish small wave boards. I generally prefer them to thrusters. I've got this on the way... https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-...

Re: 2+1 Set Up's - NPJr
Sounds like your centre fin is too far back (with the bigger sides), or too small. But I'm guessing you already checked that on the NPJ site? My experience suggests to keep the sidebites small, or use really stiff upright ones if you go bigger. With the centre fin, I use fins that are quite raked, b...

Localbogan, I think you need to give some serious consideration to the fact that the reason you didn't get a reply is not because the ASP was trying to steal your concept, but because you're just a tedious and annoying person to deal with.

Is that 5 stringers for stiffness, or 5 gaps for flex?
love the tail. Boards a bit big for me.

yeah, I hear ya Huie
Shape sounds interesting Mark.
What sort of rails? Or still hush hush?
The link was interesting Chillin. Closest to what I'm after that I've seen in a stock board.
I'm not much heavier and don't noseride, least not on anything under 9'6", so it sounds good.

Re: 5'11 Firewire El Fuego. 6'0 Channel Islands Skinny Fish
did you sell them Topher? Or just give up? I noticed it's not in your sig anymore... I'm probably looking for a single fin or 2 +1, more refined and rockered than the wombat. Long shot I know - but someone here might have one, anyway If I can sell both boards at the same time I'll be able to get a n...

Re: surfboard design - definitive guide?
no worries. I'll look into it on the weekend.
How big is your space? Shed, garage etc?
The boards are big. I'll try and find one which has the least extra stuff e.g. triple stringers, footstrap inserts.
How long do kneeboards get? 6 foot by 23" by 3" cover just about every possibility?

yeah, you got the pick of them. Props on the choice of your missus. Meant both ways you can read it 8) Have to say, thought the bodyboard inspired one looked like an absolute dog of a thing. What's the Tolhurst 8'er like? I'll be looking for a bigger board in summer, but don't like many of the sub-9...
