Fark. I don’t know how you north coasters do it. My mate lives at Bruns, regularly sits out at the opening to the river mouth. Just fuckin nuts.

But, seems to be less action there for some strange reason. Up until there is, I guess.

100% Sandon is awful on South/South East swells. Do. Not. Bother.

I gave it a crack at Point. It wasn't mega big, being so south at this stage. But heaps of water moving around and very tricky to get in position. I didn't succeed in catching anything of any quality or size.

It was really fucking cold

Ahh, that's the trick. Basic stretches? Or do you do some kind of cardio style warm up too?

Coming into winter, I think doing a strength workout pre-surf works really well. I do rep range of 8-12 with 60 second breaks or sometimes super set of 3 exercises back to back then 120sec break Get's your body moving in all the directions it will need, muscles warm and loaded and then you surf rea...

definitely on the slower/smaller side down here, but managed to surf 2 hrs at a low tide spot that threw up a screamer every now and then..
