Why thank you for the sentiments guys! And thank you for the actual bux too!!!! It's always nice to see folks who notice that stuff just doesn't materialise out of nothing and that somewhere, somebody is doing the work (and often spending the money) to get it into place.

I want to get as many popular surf vids as I can into our shop. Shari and I are working on this as time permits. I'm going to set up a new section in the forums for shop product suggestions. Ultimately, I'd like as many products as possible in our shop to have been recommended to us by fellow RealSu...

Hi guys and thanks for the very generous offers of assistance! Barry and I are working toward a May 1 deadline for the 2004 fundraiser. He's got a lot of complex scaffolding in place but the poor guy has to keep a couple employees in work, so he's moving as fast as conditions permit. Anyway, as part...

Hi Mell, good to see you around the forums mate. Contributions like yours last year have made this possible. Anyways... I lived in IN for a couple years and heard that there were a couple spots up near Hammond... never did go up for a look. Instead, I drove to the outer banks and Cape Hatteras. Now ...

The photo galleries have a manual approval process. We look for images that have a minimum level of quality. We know most people aren't professional photographers and we take that into account. There are three of us reviewing photos but if we all get busy, it can be awhile before we check new submis...

My view is that artificial reefs cost too much, are too environmentally problematic and don't even fulfill the fundamental requirement to reduce crowds. The Goldie has a couple artificial reefs, the deliberate one at narrowneck and the inadvertant one at snapper. Having not been to the goldie since ...

best schools for proximity to surf... hmmm... well, the one I went to (UC Santa Barbara) has a point break on campus, plus some windswell type beach break and another point break within walking distance (Deveraux). There's a student village there called Isla Vista (Eye-Vee as the locals say) where y...

I wish I didn't have to worry about all this legal stuff. I really do. It's not my idea of fun having to spend an entire day messing around with disclaimer words (a million thanks Cam!!!) and statements and the like. But I gotta do it, because if I feel there is any chance of my getting taken to cou...

fair enough. All I can do is give you a first hand account of my contact with Michael at that time. I was a complete outsider where the industry was concerned and knew only Peter Crawford. So my knowledge of how he was exploited was minimal to non-existent. I think the wider point about expliotation...

Mate the word at the time I met Michael was that he was into smack. I can say that his behaviour while a little odd at times was not radically out of touch with reality. In retrospect there were definite signs that I, as a guy in my early twenties, didn't recognise as being more consistent with ment...

Hello guys, bit off topic re Keith, but it may interest some of you to know that I've got close on to half an hour of 16mm footage of MP in his heyday. At the time I thought he seemed a little preoccupied and spacey, but he always asked for something before we'd shoot and I gave him what he asked. H...
