Re: Rocking the BLEF

Roy,
what size fin and foil would you suggest for a 6'9 egg/minimal setup as a 2+1?

Cheers,

Any update on this one? Really keen to hear how it goes.
Is it specifically for the right hand point near you?

any good ding repairer should b able to do it.

if he's a fin man as well get him to foil you up a nice nine inch single fin.
Isn't a nine inch fin a bit much for a 6'10, even without side fins?

Re: the most annoying surfer

Unfortunately the line up around here is full of all of those types. at the moment the worst here are the journos, hangers on and contest staff that are in town for the quikky pro. The pros are usually pretty good. I should add myself to the list to be fair, the over proud dad who is pushing his gro...

So from the last report the victim will not lose his eye and should recover but he is not going to press charges.
Does anyone know who attacked him? name, description?

or the opposite where you wait for the bigger sets and finally get one to be confronted with a wall of people. i've come way to close to scalping a few guys trying to pick a way thru. surfed snapper yesterday among the masses and managed to get a few fun ones. its only really crowded out there when ...

Re: What's everyone up to?

congrats on the new arrival pirate. it will change you forever for the better. I have been having fun during the recent flat spell taking my eldest grom out early as much as possible. I had bought him a nice new board for his 10th birthday. its been so small he has been taking my old single fin out ...

Re: epoxy glassing gold coast/tweed area

wingnut, yeah the initial shaping will be done on a machine but i can still adjust it a bit by hand if needed before glassing. I am struggling to visualise what it will feel like in real life just from the 3d view in shape3d. I have a few versions of the same basic shape ranging from 5'10 to 6'2. at...

Re: epoxy glassing gold coast/tweed area

Natho, I hadnt actually thought about that too much. I dont think it will make a lot of difference in this case. Its not a HSPB, more of a cruiser. I have been riding a 6'9 egg for a while as I have been recovering from injuries so was just trying to get something that fitted into the blank i alread...

Thanks saltman.
wingnut, so far I am still in the planning stages.
