Re: Where did you surf today ?

Surf swarming with micro grommets totally frothing this afternoon. Too many to even consider seriously competing for the little waves that they were working over. Oh we'll it is School Holidays. Actually got a few before the full onslaught. Nice this morning. The beachie is a little too far from sho...

Re: Which board do you hope to surf tomorrow?

Love this one. It just keeps on giving. Which brings me to include the fact that I was looking at an old copy of Indo Surf and Lingo that's floating around the holiday house we are staying at. It states that all it's wave height measurements are wave face size and if you get pitched by the lip on a ...

Re: i/thou enjoy surfing more than Kelly Slater

This working stiff cannot "not surf". I'd go insane if I couldn't surf. Anymore than about 5 days are mr Hyde starts turning into dr jeckle Hatchet I assume you know Mr Hyde was the bad guy? I agree with Steve. A week of halfway decent surf that actually breaks properly and the sets actually breaki...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Groundhog Day here on the Mid Nth Coast. Really nice beach break lefts in the morning then I presume again point peelers in the arvo. :-)( :-)( Yesterday was arguably the best but Monday was particularly good for the beachie. Swell looks like being on the up for the weekend so the e tra day before r...

Re: Which board do you hope to surf tomorrow?

If you mean the North Side Right Hander I can hardly ever remember seeing anyone surf that ever and it usually looks like being up there with Ben Buckler as a realistic wave. The big left on the other side outside the main right hander on the other hand. I've seen that huge. Most memorable was seein...

Re: First OS surf trip.

I used to use Sunsense but I found that Banana Boat one in the shaped orange container with the handgrip on the side is really good. Getting hard to get for some reason. The other types by Banana Boat don't seem as good. I usually just wrap bubble wrap around the ends and chuck a pair of boardies an...

Re: Which board do you hope to surf tomorrow?

Had the best left hander I've had in quite a while this morning.
Last wave. Getting a bit jaded with the crowd. Miss a couple of similar ones but just landed the take off and it opened up and raced right through to the shorebreak :-)(

Re: Which board do you hope to surf tomorrow?

Nice beach breaks this morning.
Swell has arrived from down south but much diminished in size.
Very south. I can think of a few places that would be copping it straight on a bit further down the coast today.

A bit over a year ago or probably more as I remember Nick was recommending them as a travel board for Indo.

Thanks for the advice Nick.

You have, given Wayne lynch tuflite boards a rap in the past. Any suggestion for fin set ups on these boards?
Particularly quasi widow makers set ups. How do you reckon they would go?

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Reluctant afternoon surf. Decided to drag an old board out. Very crunchy and rippy. Got two peaks. Board went well and might get into it a bit more when conditions are promising.

Nearly ran over a mate body surfing on the inside so decided two was enough and went for a beer.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Well you know it's really a rock shelf rather than your conventional point break. I've only surfed there a few times but I remember one time it was fairly small and fun but a slightly bigger one came through and really slammed this guy hard. Held him down for ages. He was a local so he just handled ...
