the vast majority of quads im seeing tend to have a very generic outline.. that mostly look like the board rod dahlberg developed for occ many moons ago ... the stubby... just about every shaper has an outline very similar to that in their bag of tricks these days, and to confuse the average consum...

hmm .. it's probably to do with the fact that it was a 4 fin? i did notice that his board was riding flatter, kind of how twinnies tend to, which is directly related to the distance between the rail and where your feet are ie width. Not sure it was a quad Paulo, just a semi fishy style board. Somet...

It was just rank. Technically poor, weak, dull. These two were out there on their own in perfect, nice sized, consistent Bells and the best either of them could do was (very generously judged) 5. I've actually had good surfers grab some lately and they have come back with some very positive feedback, and its been the 601 & 602 Flexfires.
When I mean good, I mean pretty much best at their respective areas.

don't think so. They make their Flexlites out of Asia already.
They've restructured their surfboard program but to my knowledge still doing a fair bit here.
