the vast majority of quads im seeing tend to have a very generic outline.. that mostly look like the board rod dahlberg developed for occ many moons ago ... the stubby... just about every shaper has an outline very similar to that in their bag of tricks these days, and to confuse the average consum...

what about the twinnies MR rode , massive swallow tails, looked as wide as they were long .... and the McCoy lazer zap's that cheyne horan rode .... didn't give those guys any issues obviously ... :wink: Totally different to minimals etc. In that time they were all still riding very similar boards ...

well I seriously doubt they could ride those sort of boards in the pocket where they get highly judged as good as their shorties. hmm .. it's probably to do with the fact that it was a 4 fin? i did notice that his board was riding flatter, kind of how twinnies tend to, which is directly related to the distance between the rail and where your feet are ie width.
