After the gig, I tried to get some more info on the band, and did a Google search on 'The Beautiful Girls' - just got back heaps of porn (should've known better).

Checked out the Haven and Avoca yesterday. Avoca was too messed up for anyone, but there was a pretty big crowd out at the point at Terrigal and again just up towards Terrigal from the ruins.

Looked pretty heavy (15 foot faces on some of em I reckon), and not much shape - I left it for the big boys.

So how did you guys get into the Traditional style?

Some of you have already mentioned that you surf a more modern style in comps, and that you ride shortboards, but you guys are REALLY into old skool stuff - what sparked it all off for you guys???
