Forget the stuff below, you meant breaching as in jumping out of the water? Yeah White sharks do that check Google images you will see quite a few images of them jumping. If you mean breaching the net, then I have heard that quite a few sharks are found dead on the beach side of the net. The nets ar...

Do these nets actually exist? I haven't seen any evidence for them. I saw some at Noosa, you can't miss them there all those buoys floating in the water but I haven't seen any buoys at Freshie or Manly, I honestly don't think Freshie has a net.

That old picture again? It's a dolphin look at the curved dorsal fin, and the tail is horizontal rather than vertical. If the tail were vertical it would be as well defined in the photo as the dorsal fin. As well as the fact that when this picture first went around the net it was labled as dolphin.

Sorry Bubba but in the old days most people only took to the water in a boat or when it sank. The graph isn't saying that it's more dangerous than before, it just means that with more people in the water the more attacks there will be. This week that's 1 diver killed in Queensland and 1 skurfer kill...

Except for Indo sea urchins, I've seen a guy get one in the foot right through his fins when snorkeling, the clumsy git also grabbed a large spiny branch with his hand when he fell down a hill in the jungle that we were walking through. Some people hey?

The statistics are flawed when it comes to comparisons. You can't compare how many people are struck by lightning with how many people are killed by sharks, the reason being that not everybody goes into the sea but almost everybody does leave their house and are therefore likely to be struck by ligh...

Open water wasn't as scary as I thought it could have been, in fact I thought those two were going to get ripped to pieces during the night I had visions of a black screen and blood curdleing screams, but thank God that didn't happen. If it takes all sharks that long to kill you or even make the fir...
