Re: Just general surfing stuff

Hatchie, the waves may have been the freak waves that break in the harbour but more likely they are Merewether. Guess I can't get run out of town since I don't live there anymore. Merewether is way better when it gets bigger. Don't think the harbour holds that kind of size. Biggest perfect waves I t...

Re: Just general surfing stuff

I remember Matt Grainger saying they were doing tow ins at the Bower and I can't remember who it actually was but they took off and the whole reef went dry. They got broken ribs and washed into Shellies. The rest of the crew didn't know what happened and thought he had just decided to paddle in and ...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Some nice left peaks on Saturday arvo at the beachie. A bit smaller and variable yesterday.
Pretty small today but beautiful clear conditions. Swell due to hit late this arvo or early tomorrow. :-)(

Re: Midlengths

I like Alex's style on a log and his midlength style is highly unusual. He's got a band doesn't he?
I get the impression he gets seriously wasted most of the time and is benefiting from doing a bit of MOTE flashback at the moment. Probably looks cool from the States.

Yikes, I inadvertantly clicked on sunstrokes profile/ posts thingy and was momentarily confronted with sunnies opinion about everything.
It was a bewildering experience.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Waves are were you find them. Dragged junior down for a holiday surf. Two of us out with perfect zippy little pealing lefts at South Bondi earlier today. Yes there were other surfers up a bit but no waves there. Got out as the other hopefuls were going out and it was starting to get choppy. Looked a...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

I've been using an O'Neill rashy with 0.5mm wettie panels on the torso. Perfect for the windy mornings I've been using a thermal rashie I bought at Forster for forty bucks a year or so ago. Bloody terrific. Arms are starting to get a little stretched from all the use though. Will get another when i...

Working unfortunately.......or fortunately depending on how big. Getting ready to bolt up the coast on Friday for a week though.........and it's looking pretty promising.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

I'm really getting sick of suddenly being surrounded by a pack of Irish Backpackers on every imaginable craft from ancient Indo guns to softies. You hope they will be so preoccupied with their bullshitting that they fail to notice the waves but they are quite capable of taking off together on anythi...

Guess I'll give it a crack after I digest breakfast. Looks like the last sunny day before howling winds, more rain and a drop in temp.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Went for a paddle. Decided to give a different board a run. Wouldn't really of mattered either way. Got a couple of non close outs before the sheer number of punters sent me in. Ready for a run.
