Re: Bali For Beginners
Avoid Kuta like the plague. Seminyak is girlfriend friendly for a few days.......and you may get some good beach breaks out the front unless the swell is too big. Canggu is not far away. A few other options around there as well. Head out to the Bukit at that time of year and stay there if the swells...

Yes it's debatable whether this blasé attitude is built on indifference or awareness. Poor old Balos get stuck in the middle as usual. How many surfers would be thinking about less crowded line ups?
I think the media beat up is one of the most contemptible performances I've ever seen.

Re: Midlengths
Mark Rabbidge does some interesting things on fins with the use of a drill and a bandsaw I guess. A series of horizontal cuts running into a predrilled end make for a much more flexy fin. Don't know how long they last really but you can easily modify. Standard fin like this.

Re: Chapelle Corby
Looking at reported coverage of this the book was pulped because of photos that were used without permission and the rest of the family also later sued for defamation because they felt the book claimed they were involved in her fathers dope dealing.

Re: Chapelle Corby
Never bought the : no one in their right mind would smuggle dope into Bali bit. There's a healthy market for it there and because it's counter intuitive those with a nose to the wind would and do give it a shot. I thought it was well documented that her old man and brother were right in to dealing. ...

It wasn't really that long ago that there was just a complete hole where the Pass should be with waves breaking up to the boat ramp. What ten years ago?
