Hi Nick,
What's your opinion/experience on asymmetrical boards?
Should you just alter the rails or do you need to different halves of a board for example one half thruster the other a quad set up?
Thank you

there's some good banks near me. I can pm them to you. Satan will welcome you with open arms ... and a twinkle in his eye. He will enquire if you're still keen for bum sex with Pippa Middleton. When you reply with the affirmative ... a small giggle ever so slight slips from his lips as Pippa walks ...

Re: Ask Carroll
Hi Nick, Could you please explain the easiest way to pull off a forehand 360? I complete the spin/slide but lose the wave. Cheers, Frontside 360. Best done on a peaky wave or section with a bit of open water at the wave base. The key is in the turn off the wave base, like a bottom turn but carried....

Re: V. small wave grovellers
I am still a massive fan of the mini sim style board in the small stuff. I've ridden a few of the lost grovel boards - the bottom feeder and lazy boy. Both good boards, but not for knee high. Like the firewire potatonator, they can work in chest high and up. The baked potato was really good i thoug...

Re: V. small wave grovellers
I ve ridden a couple of different 5" to 5"4 grovel specialist boards & mini sims. I had most fun on them in bigger, fatter open faced waves not 1-2ft slop. Sure, a 5ft board works for some but you have to be on your game, no sore back, stiff shoulder, slop pop up etc. I am 73kg & can easily paddle a...

Hi Josh,
The yellow "drifter" twinnie on your Facebook page is the best board porn I ve seen in quite some time. What was the brief and could you give more detail on that sweet chariot?
Cheers

Re: bonzers.....the quad fad is over
Saw a beautiful octafish today, hurriedly left the store before any damage was done.
Been thinking about that board ever since, any of you gentlemen still on your bonzers and have any new observations to add?
Anyone ridden a Campbell bros octafish on the east coast?

Re: Performance VS Hybrids
Hey tazza, as you live on the goldie go down to firewire and demo a few different types of board. It's free & will allow you to narrow down what you like. The crumpet & hypto are two different boards (I have both) suited to different waves but both a ton of fun. The crumpet is a modernised single fi...

Re: review of Mccoy Astron Zot
Hey nawgy, which part of the UK do you live in? The wave types vary greatly, I used to live in SW Cornwall & surfed godrevy, droskyn & porthtowan regularly. If it is still how I remember, porthtowan is zot country whereas the other waves are more gentle rollers. Also, the tidal range is huge, I can ...

Re: review of Mccoy Astron Zot
You may remember Kookster who had lots of McCoys on the Magic seaweed McCoy thread? He had a thruster 5'6" x 22" (or very close to 22") x 3" which he dubbed the powerball and he's low 80's (weight) and it floated him fine. The 5'6" would be fine for your weight. JAM71 was talking to me about zots a...
