Im sure FCS I is out of patent date, you get about 20 years and then it's goes public. FCS had a court battle with another fin company who argued that if only FCS could make fins for their system then only one company should be able to make tyres for cars. In the U.S you can find companies who can scan a shape with a " laser"
And then cut it.
Apart from going to the U.S. for a board, is there any company in Australia that does scan and cut ?

Hi guys,I think at last count there were 6 computer shaping companies on Sydney's Northern
Beaches, but are there any companies in Australia that can actually 3-D SCAN a 3-D shape and get it right the first time ??

I'm putting the first set into a bodyboard just to make sure of the positioning, but if that goes well I can supply some to you. You'll have to supply your own board tho. They perform more like 'gills' with water flowing thru them.Brett.

The clear mat is a blast, you're flying 5 inches above the water, it's a real spin out ! You're welcome to give it a go.
