Surfing is a totally different feeling to just sliding on your gut going nowhere and not being able to drive yourself out on the wave face to turn or manuevere.

If every booger got reasonably good at surfing they would never turn back!

Had a calm run in with a bronzie at parsons yesterday, I spotted the distinct browning of the surface water in crystal clear water about 5m from me and just watched it for a bit, It didn't surface or move much so I just continued catching my waves, and then a few minutes later some other crew saw it...

Yeah I did that and let it sit for a few minutes and watched it and nothing showed up so im pretty safe I think, ah well you can't protect your board forever :(

Hey guys I was in the water yesterday and noticed a pressure ding near my nose on the deck, not the bottom, but it hasn't cracked the glass I think cause I put water on it and there's no bubbles but you can see tiny cracks under the glass, is this alright to leave or should I get it filled in. I agree with NCP, buy a second hand shortboard, my first board was a 6'3 and was pretty thin but if you get down to the waves alot as it sounds you should pick it up easy and then I would give it a year or so to get your turns and cutbacks/floaters downpacked and then buy a brand newie off the rack ...

I don't care how long I have to chase or paddle for a wave cause I know that when I do get it I experience one of the most unique feelings this earth can give us and its that stoke which keeps us coming back for more and the unpredictability of each wave ridden!
