Thankfully we have rulers like Gina Rienhart and Singo with their pet monkey Abbott to look after all our interests.

The point being its a no win game plan for average people. Sooner or later everyones going to wake up to the costs of all this socially.

Re: Snapper - It's not paradise.
Definitely redefines the term "local" if the only locals are ones with independent means and their offspring.

Re: Snapper - It's not paradise.
I guess in most small coastal towns the locals are being pushed out of the housing market just like backyard board manufacturers are losing ground.

Re: Snapper - It's not paradise.
Just a bit of advice on crowds. At really crowded places like Snapper its best to paddle out, paddle inside everyone else on the peak, take off on the biggest set wave to come through and rip the bag out of it. After that you should be able to snare a few.
Good Luck.
Good Luck.

Re: Snapper - It's not paradise.
What about the guys that appear to be at the beach every time you ever go there. No matter when. Especially at City Beaches. They don't sleep here. They aren't young. Maybe they've retired?
Maybe they work nights?
A lot of them don't surf that good.
They just turn up every time.

Re: Snapper - It's not paradise.
Shocking though it may seem to some people all those miserable tourists tend to be so slack that they try to book somewhere with accommodation right near where the surf is so they don't have to drive anywhere. All the hi rise apartments and holiday houses might be a bit of a give away. I've even not...

Re: Snapper - It's not paradise.
Tama was pretty fat and sectiony yesterday. Funny watching some guy get stuck in front of the cave in waist high water try paddling into the rocks  Bondi fairly ordinary. Now obviously whats said for Newcastle can be said for nearly anywhere. If your really core and only surf overhead waves g...

Re: Snapper - It's not paradise.
Exactly. At least the waves mentioned start at one spot and then deposit the rider somwhere else. Last time I stayed at Rainbow a couple of years ago it was tiny and wet. Junior had perfect little rights off the rock at Snapper with hardly anyone and we had two days on the mals riding perfect little...

True, a superior range of infomercials in this issue however. I've seen a few board tests online and they are so much superior than any written board test. You can see how they go without being told.

Re: Snapper - It's not paradise.
It would end up being like a night club with bouncers giving the nod to the status quo and the plebs not having the right boardies on. Gee Braithy didn't the rip wash them down the beach? I worked out the other day that since I was a teenager pretty well everywhere I've lived has been crowded except...

Re: shoulder or rotator cuff problem solutions
Good to know, Trev. My backs been pretty good for a while. I'm just getting the idea that after my accident it probably took a good year and a half to mend properly muscle wise. Still don't like wearing a watch on that arm though.
