Hmmm... I don't shoot in RAW. Should I be? RBP, what's the benefit of shooting in colour if you're just going to convert it to B&W in Photoshop? Does shooting in colour give the image more info (wider gamut) and thus provide a better greyscale gamut when converting to B&W or, say, even duotone? Che...

Salty, correct  But.....not a better camera, a BETTER lens is what you needed. F2.8 for low light. 8) Even with my camera, I wouldn't be shooting at ISO1600, too much noise. More tips for shooting in those low light, overcast, 'wet' days if you don't have an optimum setup for the condi...

While we're talking footy players who surf, I've surfed with Rod Wishart out at Currumbin Alley. He's a solid unit who surfs pretty good too.

Is this the Realsurf's most boring thread ever? Sorry guys but 14 pages of zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. An insomniac's dream. Couldn't have been too boring if you made it to page 14. 14 pages of stoked-out surfers trying out a new design for free isn't a bad thing for surfing. What Ringmaster and Fani...

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ TMC, mate you've made my afternoon. I was just about to drive home from work, it starts hailing so I put my car undercover, check my email and here we are  One thing I notice with all these pics is the AquaBat still maintaining a good line despite whatever is happening to TMC. ...

Thursday's gonna be fantastic. right now the ocean has that telltale bump of a LOTTA NE wind blowing out to sea. And along the coast the wind's backed off, which tells you that NE fetch is gonna go further out to sea and gain some teeth ... and the predicted wind shift to NW will come a little soon...

Beerfan, there are lazy days on the points here where I'd love a board like you're describing. Definitely not a Minimal, more like a shorter, longboard (oxymoron, I know). I wouldn't mind an 8ft Diamond Tail Mini from Joel Tudor's latest surfboard range. Or maybe a long version of one of his fish wi...

Re: big

RBP, that's not mine in the pic. Just thinking of a summer wave hoggin fun machine. Its either something like that or a standard 8' longboard. Been on a bit of a nose riding binge lately on the egg. Trying to cheat 5 on any wave that'll let me haha. Feels awesome trimming from right up near the nos...
