Re: Kelly's a stoner

I remember having to score off the crims. I remember mates going through my clothes when I was in the surf- so they could take my money and score blocks of hash and buddha sticks. I remember seeing nice kids I grew up with going through the gateway into heroin, datura, acid -anything and everything ...

Re: Bong in big trouble

Well then it's gone full circle then. What now? Brazil, driven by its much younger surfing demographic, its travel-inclined population and a stronger sense of possibility and mission, becomes the world's dominant surfing nation. History repeats - substitute the word "Brazil" for " Australian Surfin...

Re: surf rage. solved. apparently...

The Gold Coast would be the perfect market for a synthetic or artificial wave pool, Being the Goldie you could play on the existing fame of the "superbank" and call it the superfishial wave pool. Perhaps they could sell a day pass, or a three in one ticket to Gold Coast Icons - WallyWorld, Wet'nWild...

Re: Engineering good surf, another approach?

Could this break be surfed at NIGHT ?! -this would have the impact of more waves surfed to meet the demand of everyone wanting to surf there. To make it environmentally friendly, the lighting could possibly be powered by the residual radiation. I think you would probably have to wear a fairly...

Re: surf rage. solved. apparently...

plenty of good quality surf breaks have components of bathymetry e,g, rocks that are less than 60 kg,usually all locked together on the inside section. Think about all those deposits at North coast river mouths.Or for a man made version think Avoca Point which was extended when the locals tidied up ...

Re: surf rage. solved. apparently...

i'm too lazy and care too little about this to google, but haven't we been here before? Just seems like every couple of years this 'we're going to build a reef and solve congestion/create a world class wave/create surf tourism honeypot/etc' seems to pop up. I think this issue demonstrates how undev...

Yeah Beanie You kow like " Stray Rewt " pops up anywhere but... could not see him riding anything over two feet and he would feel unsafe surfing without the adulation of a large crowd, in the various "Kiddies corners" of the world , which he haunts. I know you also haunt the Volvo car cleaners site ...
