Re: Crowded point breaks
Just a note to all those hot shots who know they are dominating the take off and scoring 10,00000,000000,00000000 waves in the session. You know when your paddling back out totaly amping after your last ride and an average one comes through for the poor sucker who hasn't dropped in on you for the l...

Re: Crowded point breaks
eh bumfluff...learn to surf ya fcuken kook. Until you do, get out of the way of those who have done the yards. There are no shortcuts in life son, although you seem to think these forums are gonna give you some. Would you rather I drop in on everyone instead of asking questions? Im certainly not af...

Re: Crowded point breaks
Now there's a good point... What about the mal riders that sit 5 or 10 metres out the back snagging ever single wave and you're on a shorty? I would say in this situation, if you confront them nicely and say can I get a wave, they probably will let you have your fill every second one. What's accepta...

Re: Crowded point breaks
Of note, I also notice the locals seem to be cool with dropping in on each other but if a blow in does, it's not on.
I guess this is just their right as locals....

Re: Crowded point breaks
No worries Nick.. Some places that are really crowded allow dropping in or "party waves" but this is more on fun small days. Looks like I need to respectfully muscle my way into the lineup a bit more and get comfortable with late drops in front of rocks. The other problem is you've got about 4 peopl...

Crowded point breaks
How do you guys deal with crowded point breaks? I do everything I can not to drop in on people but when people (usually locals) take off really deep and get every single f*ckin wave, is it ever acceptable to drop in? What if you're like 5 metres down the line on the shoulder? I know there's differen...

Yea but you can't wrap yourself in bubble wrap either.
I'm also a firm believer of when your times up your time is up.
That's why some smokers can live past 100 years old yet some teenagers slip getting out of the bath tub and die.

F*ckin hell... Ya scroll down that list and it just keeps on keeping on. I'm just gonna go rock back and forth in the corner for a few days.. So you're scared of drowning in "big" (6ft) surf and you're scared of being attacked by a shark. Did you ever think that maybe surfing isn't the spor...

Re: Ipswich: Australia's newest international surf destinati
I can't understand why they would put it at Ipswich OR the Gold Coast. Why not put it in Brisbane's western suburbs closer to the CBD. I mean who the f*ck in Brisbane would drive that far just to play in a wave pool and pay for it. Someone needs to get a backhoe and move Moreton, Fraser and Bribie n...

Re: Cleaning an epoxy surfboard
Problem solved.
Just needed a harder base coat.
Sex wax does the trick.
Hopefully I'll be able to put a softer wax on top of that and it'll stay on.
Thanks for all the suggestions.

Re: Cleaning an epoxy surfboard
Sooooo
My dumb question is this:
I've been told it's not a good idea to mix wax brands.
Is this true?
Do any of you mix wax brands?
If I can put tropical sex wax on my epoxy board with palmers warm water on top - problem solved.

If not, I'll do what Alkapop suggested and Sex wax the base coat then chuck some Plamers warm water on top.

DUMB QUESTION ALERT
Iggs, I'm giving you 24hrs notice. I have a question that may be percieved as dumb and I'm giving you fair warning to vacate the premises or put me on ignore so my stupid doesn't rub off onto you.
Though I have a feeling curiosity is going to kill the cat
