Re: 10 sharkiest waves In Aus

For Queensland it would have to be Rainbow Beach? Followed by Noosa Then Cooly Ever had a beach with no consistant shark sightings or attacks but feels sharky anyway? Currimundi.. There's only ever a few people out, no idea why as the banks are quite good, but there's always fisherman and dogs swimm...

I've only surfed at Fingal once.

And I saw a small shark about 2 metres away from me, probably a bully.

A lot of fish activity around there and general marine life.

Re: Mounting a Go-Pro

If you are sporting a Gopro you've already lost any semblance of coolness you may have had so why not embrace the inner gumby and Gath on? http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/3457/img201112011858281.jpg Uploaded with ImageShack.us I couldn't agree more Cuttlefish. I reckon I'll use it about five tim...

Re: Mounting a Go-Pro

Thanks Offshore and breadroll,

I wonder if it would be ok to attach via the adhesive in smaller stuff like under 3ft?

Not too sure about the wrist strap, the footage I've seen it looks like the arms move around a lot.

IMO the head cams looks the best but who wants to wear a gath?

Mounting a Go-Pro

Are the adhesives enough to mount the go-pro in 4ft plus surf or do I need to go and get plugs put into it? Where's the best spot on a shorty to mount it? Also I noticed the adhesive is dead flat but the board comes up to a ridge on the stringer. Do ya just go for the centre or mount it to one side ...

That really is an achievment considering all the sessions you would've done with Tom..

FFS at the Storm Surfers Q and A someone asked

"Is it really true? Does Tom always drop in?"

Where the f*ck is Collaroy Point?

It sounds like somewhere Allan would surf. I'm sure he's "dominated" a few blokes in the carpark..

Re: Crowded point breaks

Dominating was the wrong word to use.

I meant my skill level was better than most and it was relatively uncrowded.

Too late now

Re: Crowded point breaks

Yea I can, that's my point.. The rules are there for a reason and you've just gotta find a break you're suited to.

There weren't dropping in but one or two were pretty close. Mind you one Mal rider blatantly dropped in on everyone. He didn't do it to me so I didn't say anything.

Re: Crowded point breaks

Did you read the "skill level was lower" bit?

I'm not saying I'm good, im saying different breaks have different skill levels and felt far more comfortable surfing there with fewer out.

Re: Crowded point breaks

Hey Bumfluff. Take this any way you like but here goes............ If you go out at a break where you consistantly have a shit time/get F.A waves/get burned, snaked etc STOP SURFING THERE  One of the great things about surfing is that it's NOT regulated so generally the better surfers will get...
