Re: Another pointless volume thread/rambling

Bonzer egg is on the list of "must try" boards but I'm not cashed up at the moment. Id have to sell a board but don't have any I want to let go. Funny, my smallest board, the jd, is actually easier to paddle than my bigger boards. The lightness just makes it so easy, specially in beachies. Never be...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Missed the tide today - just the local creek mouth/headland, took one of the grommets out for a few waves and there looked like a few fun ones out there. Sent him in to swim/paddle on the inside and paddled out and the wind ripped in and tide had dropped out - was a bumpy close out where i had been ...

Nice board batoes - glad it goes so well! And at that price you had to try it.

How good does the tail on it look!

Nature of the bathymetry they've created by the looks. Very tapered lip line.

If the board doesn't disappear, it's not a tube.
Bullshit......if my back shoulder gets covered, its a tube!!! Hahahaha

Anyone riding asymmetrical surfboards?

Another impulse buy (and associated home grief) a few weeks ago and I have become the owner of an asymm. I had gotten interested in the idea after seeing Chris Garrett's web page and then Ryan Burch footage, and then stumbled across one second hand! Had some issues getting the fins right, but now it...

Re: bonzers.....the quad fad is over

Cheers - all for the princely sum of $550 - one small pressure ding and some really light scratches. I have done more damage to it in 5 surfs! If I had the option I would have chosen a mini jerk or shelter type shape, but searching gumtree for bonzers is a true example of beggars can't be choosers....

Re: Quiver thread

Had the mid-length for 4 years - was actually a wedding gift from my wife with the Simmons - and don't think it is an official "Anchors". It was shaped when he just called it a mid length. The Anchors look similar in outline, but its hard to tell. Basically its a beautifully made board, and when I d...

Re: bonzers.....the quad fad is over

Newly joined this site after much reading of this thread - had flirted with the idea of a bonzer and this thread didn't help! Luckily for me (and my marriage) a 6'2" Russ Short came up on Gumtree and I pounced - Tangerine orange tint and 6.5" True Ames Bonzer fin shaped by Malcolm on one of his visi...
