Re: Quad / Thruster ride report - fin advice needed
AM2 side fins but with an AM3 trailer. I use TC redline side fins and a 3" trailer, it retains drive but loosens it to the point of controlled sliding. R2s are good for drive and still loose too.

Re: Question for 40 somethings..
Just stay active and try to keep the weight off and your health should remain excellent. I've been into endurance sports for some time and it has helped to keep me fit and keep the weight off, Though some surgeries and the long recovery involved hasn't helped but I just watch my food and use a struc...

... My other half recommended doing Pranayama yoga (she's done it before) and reckons it is really good at strengthening and stretching your lungs. Curious to know actually if anyone has tried this style of yoga.... Never tried it and I was supposed to go to my physiotherapist and get some exercise...

Time to add my bit:- ... (5) Alcohol causes more measurable damage than dope but that doesn't mean that dope should be legalised. How about further restricting the use of both, especially for developing teenaged brains ? Now it's time to run for cover...... :) I'd legalise pot but I think we should...

Were those highly irresponsible adults his parents? Whichever media organisation was so morally bankrupt (take your pick) to make the initial approach. Then try the media organisations that broke the story. Then his parents. And any other idiot who thought it a good idea to give the story a public ...

Re: the boy in bali on pot charges
Indeed, Fong, but people make mistakes, especially kids. And this has been exacerbated by rumours which have been spread by highly irresponsible adults who should know better. But, of course, that's the idealist in me. Were those highly irresponsible adults his parents? Shouldn't they have been sup...

What airline was that and how big was your quadfather? International travel is usually a little more generous but I'll be checking weight and dimension limits.

Recommended Surfboard Coffins for travel
I plan on taking 3 boards (6'0,6'4,6'8) on a trip next year to Indo and the local surf shop owner recommended a triple coffin with wheels but the thing is the wheels seem to add 2kg of weight. That's 2kg of clothes and other stuff I have to sacrifice. The O&E triple 7'0 with wheels weighs in at 6.4k...

Re: Mosquito Bites - What's the best prevention?
I hate going abroad, because Mossie feast on my blood - it doesn't seem to matter what stuff I use. Anyone got any good tips to prevent the little bastards eating me? You have to find and take someone who the mossies like better, but possibly that is why your friends invited you. Other options are ...

Re: what? what? WHAT??? i cant ear u
Good to hear that it's fixed. I'm guessing you have surfer's ear too? I don't think anyone gets way without it. My ears block from time to time and Aqua Ear seems to help clear them. It's also gotten bad enough to see an ENT specialist and he removed some polyps too.

Re: Building lung capacity - advice needed
Hypoxic training sets will help you. At swim squad these are a foundation for increasing oxygen efficiency, it won't really help with increasing lung capacity per se, just make a breath go further - same goal though. Assuming you can breath bilaterally when swimming freestyle, do the following: 2 x ...
