Re: Mystery Surfers

I remember seeing a guy surfing Hikkadua in 1982 on a board he had made himself and used Sarong fabric instead of glass matting which wasn't available. People said he had been living in the Maldives and there was good surf there. Nearly jumped on a canoe to go and check it out.

Re: things u think in the lineup?

You can always think about your teeth going rotten and your hair turning grey and high blood pressure. All this will happen with age anyhow but speed speeds that up too. Its a sh*t drug. I've always found if I'm thinking about work, bills or anything really it means I've lost focus on the surf. Usua...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Yeeeeh haaaaawwwww, four out of the last five days I've had a wave and on every day I've paddled out to a fun bank and got tons of waves. Its been sunny and most of the crowd seems to not quite understand how to paddle onto a moving swell :D :D :D

Re: Bong in big trouble

If you look at the Alt type vibe around these days with guys wearing plain t shirts in the surf and all it may just be that saturation point has finally been reached where every joe blow from Osaka to Stokholm has a big three t shirt and boardies. I even saw a few at some of those Greek Protest Rall...

You could put a little engine in it and a radio control system like drones and fly your boards over independently :D

True, true, true. Only a parent knows knows the feeling
Definitely one of the best things ever plus it brings out the inner grommet all over again.

Re: surf rage. solved. apparently...

I'd just like to say thank you for continuing to ride a short board. I really respect you for it. Don't take the fact that I will be scoring heaps more waves and having heaps more fun when its not really up to standard as in any way compromising my support for you sitting there looking bored and fr...

Re: Engineering good surf, another approach?

I was thinking where a small nuclear created bay would be a good proposal. You know only a crater about the size of say Towoon Bay, not too big. Maybe you could even do it with conventional bombs if you used a few in a precise manner. I was thinking Casuarina Beach would be a good option. Preferably...

Re: Mystery Surfers

If I was going to single one out it would be lynch, but all of those guys from that era would do just about anything to top up the cash to keep surfing, they had too. I thought we were talking about the bloke that turns up every now and then that surfs as hot as a pro but hardly anyone knows them. ...

Re: Engineering good surf, another approach?

Your a bunch of pussies. Lang Hangcock was right. Drop a nuclear bomb and blow a big crescent shaped crater for waves to peal around. Too simple.

Re: surf rage. solved. apparently...

Surfing has to be one of the most frustrating sports. Period. There are so many variables that have to come together to deliver an epic session. When I get back from a surf and my wife asks me how it was I invariably answer: tide was sh1t, wind was sh1t, banks were sh1t, crowds were sh1t, swell was...

They are not necessarily a bunch of media manipulators.
I guess you just singled out Bansky.
