I think i was fairly clear in my reply that i'm just not man enough to ride a pink board cuttle - that is the sole reason i sold my mackie bonzer
But i appreciate the offer and as i've said if the board was in magenta - it would be a done deal.

Re: Mini Simmons
Mick Mackie does them. Bloody versatile design - just been riding my dim-sim with traditional keels - changes the feel of the board completely. More hold in bigger waves, similar speed, less turn though.

Went down the cheap patagonia path via the internet - bloody warm, comfortable and soooo much cheaper than $750 for one here. Now let's just pray the seams hold..........
Have noticed plenty of cheap ebombs on ebay from aussie sellers - not as cheap as $190 though - what a bargain!

Re: review of Mccoy Astron Zot
Had a chat wth Marc and the McCoy showroom at Manly closes on the 30th and is moving to Port Macquarie, where Marc will continue to run sales etc. I don't think he'll mind me attaching a few pics of him shredding on that big swell that hit last week - doesn't surf his age, that's for sure  Also...

My daily driver is a 5'8 or 5'10 - after something from 5'2-5'6 - so it will likely be a bit too big for me - thanks anyway

Re: Misfit Surfboards
Yeah - not that keen to go out and buy one just yet. I already have a dim sim for smaller days and walled up waves, but i'm after something with some zip for the smaller suckier days. I have a break where i'm at that produces sucky barrels no matter the size and the sim can go up to about 2ft on thi...

Has anyone had any experience with these boards? The reason i posted under alts - i was specifically thinking about their small wave specials - the flair, the flow, the sk8tey and the fish.

Re: backfoot placement
I agree - the sims can be driven well from the backfoot, but they also respond pretty good with front foot turns as well. Because my sim is 5'1 i tend to get the feet placement pretty spot on!

Re: backfoot placement
Hey Morgan, As far as i'm aware the zot has far less emphasis on the backfoot placement and pressure due to the girth sitting in the middle. Based on conversations with Marc at the Manly outlet and a guy i know who rides a 6ft zot - they are more like a potbelly in that they rely less on that backfo...
