Re: Where did you surf today ?

Crap as per usual. Can someone teleport me up to Snapper. I've only surfed Lennox twice. First time it was overhead cyclone swell. Really good. A bit sketchy coming in aspecially. I think the Cove at Burleigh is worse to jump off though. Second time it was small and ordinary. Ended up coming ...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Went out for a bash at Bronte about 1pm. Pretty ordinary but good to have a paddle. Usual annoying little chop section that breaks at the top of the wave. Saw a guy get royaly poleaxed twice in an amazingly incompetent attempt to jump off the pool. A guy even showed him the right spot after he got r...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

I remember reading in some article about Hawaiian Surfers reckoning it was the closest thing to Backdoor Pipe when it was big but you know what surfing mags are like. Seems to break on the same rock platform irrespective of size so consequently gets a lot thicker as it gets bigger. Definitely no aut...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Went for a swim at Bronte and watched the surprisingly heavy crew taking off in front of the baths. Actually saw someone get a hollow one across the reef but most of them were just big closey outy lumps. Not as gnarly as yesterday. Watched the small crew get well and truly flogged yesterday arvo.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Turtle Island.....or former island. Crowded on the main and a sneaky little left on one of the other breaks. Main looked like mid week Bondi between infrequent sets.

Re: Indo...is it worth it

With all due respect, I think you're missing the point. Yup, reckon your right there, Tonksy. Totally stuffed since the surf hasn't been rolling in non stop at this particular well known spot in the Tabanan Region. Bit windy this morning. Max about 10 guys out at its most crowded. 2 this morning an...

Re: Indo...is it worth it

How can anyone go to the Pacific? They used to eat people  Look at all those military juntas. Stay home it's the only way. I mean if some place has a few thousand years of history who knows what they might have got up to. We have decided to spend an extra day in the Tabanan region. The surfs ...

Re: Indo...is it worth it

Insert hand wringing about the death penalty here. Indonesia is a diverse country struggling to hold itself together in many ways.unless I want to stand outside Keroboken Prison with a sign my opinion is largely irrelevant. I don't see the Balinese people as representatives of the Jakarta Government...

Re: Indo...is it worth it

Salamat Pagi, Steve. I'll ask the Dutch Guy who insists on smoking incessantly at breakfast if he can get some. Meanwhile we will entertain ourselves with the noisy cat that has decided to make friends. Anyone seen a cat in Indonesia that doesn't have a docked or seriously bent tail?

Except for the right. It's really epic but a bit heavy. Never crowded with kids learning to surf either.

Re: Indo...is it worth it

Little rippy muck around right peaks on the beach breaks early this morning for about 35 minutes on the changing tide.
