Re: Another pointless volume thread/rambling
To add a bit of rambling to this rambling thread: It's funny but I re-visited the Miller v-skate board experience this past week. I had a v-skate as a one board quiver for 2 years and of course rode it in everything. So I picked up one at a really fair price from Gumtree to ride one again. A lot of...

Re: Ebay Bargains thread
Another mongolid trying to flog off a snapped repaired board. "Perfect condition" my arse. Check pic 6. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/neutral-bay/surfing/chilli-surfboard-5-9-perfect-condition/1112180738 I've noticed a recent emergence of ads on Gumtree asking for broken boards. Some enterprising ...

Thanks Loof, I'll keep that site in the memory, and don't worry Digger.
Won't be going now, the return to SA has been put forward, things have taken a dive over there.

ER is on the bottom somewhere between Tassy and Victoria. The sea was angry that night my friends.

Re: tumbleweed the extended australia trip
Be more specific. Can't be any more specific really as we have no plan, basically just going for a drive and have a look around. I've been googling but it's hard to get a firm idea because as you say, different rules everywhere. I'm leaning towards boarding them in kennels. My son was up there last...

Re: tumbleweed the extended australia trip
Can anyone tell me what the deal is with pet dogs up that way. Will only be a quick trip, a week or two. Will be heading up in a week or two, have a couple of dogs. Boarding kennels are expensive for 2 dogs in Perth. Will it be a huge pain in the arse to take them camping between Kalbarri and Warroo...

Re: Guns.
Local shaper has a good business model. He'll trade just about anything: half his sales would be good second hand boards. He stocks GSI, TSA and more exotic brands, and will shape whatever you want, and is a great guy to boot. I must have bought 100 odd boards, including customs, off him over 20 od...

Re: Guns.
That's pretty much how I found it too cranked. The rails combined with the characteristic Tuflite flightiness may limit it to very clean waves

Re: Guns.
Scroll down through Gravelle's FB page for some nice guns. His standard short boards are around $650, not bad for a custom these days.

Balian. Slim on Baliwaves recently tried to play down the risks there. I stayed there around christmas time in 2013. The water was like mud because it was wet season and the break is right in front of the river mouth. It's the rounded river stones spewed out by the river that form the bottom that t...

Re: Ebay Bargains thread
Too small? Not unless you're over 90kg it shouldn't be, particularly so for Tuflite. I haven't found Tuflites to be any different to pu boards as far as buoyancy goes. You'll be right Cranked, my 6'7" Miller was a revelation. It paddles better and gets into waves better than any 7' board I've had. ...
