Re: tomo next gen rip off - review
nice. pointy nose in around the same size as yours but a tad thicker is next on my hit list. Couldn't pass it up. Scored it from axolotl reflux via RS. Too much of a bargain and it sort of takes me back to what a mate used to shape way back in the late 70s when we were teenagers. Similar(ish) outli...

Re: Bong in big trouble
Hollowed out must be due soon to interrupt discussion with the current share price Know quite a few who still revolve most of their lives around mull. Amazingly, a couple of them seem ok. Hold down jobs, good parenting skills and emotionally/psychologically stable. Shits me though that it sometimes ...

For what it's worth, I'm going into my 4th year in a Rip Curl 4/3. Top of range at the time. I look after it reasonably well. Due to work and the cold water, I probably don't surf as much as most of you living north of here

Re: PADDLEBOARDERS ARE ALL @&#%s...NO EXCEPTIONS!
There is/was an older bloke rode a goat-boat at Pines down Hatchy's way. He had one leg (behind his back, we called him Pegleg). Was a nice bloke. Sharing happily reciprocated. Surfers believed he had a valid reason and he wasn't a prick. Used to paddle his crutches out and attach them to a buoy wid...

Didn't you say you wouldn't be wearing 5 mm of rubber :?: Dose of reality brought about by dropping boards in carparks Have you got that hooded vest thing? Swear a 4/3 is enough with booties and that particular wonder of warmth. Water and wind temps similar here to Tassie and you'll be fully acclima...

detached Phaeophyceae Yes aaronn, it's brown seaweed Blacks Beach used to get like that sometimes vic, clogged with kelp. Guys would ride without a leash and with sharpened fins. Lineup got a lot more organised on those days. Surfed same place without a leggie for that reason a couple of months ago...

Re: Where did you surf today ?
On saturday I surfed my local beachie. Nothing great, just fun 2-3 foot with the odd bigger set. Some were shaping nicely in the shorey, but it was a no go zone because of the masses of detached Phaeophyceae making it impossible. But, sometimes your experience counts for nothing and you do stupid sh...

Re: Tomo V4 for Sale
Just did the deal with axo. Great guy to deal with. Not a fat kaaarnt, but a pretty big unit apparantly. And board is 2 1/4, not 2/12 thick
Way out of my normal zone, but very keen
For the record, it was a carton of Styvo soft packs and a case of premium reds

Re: Breath Holding
Reckon it is a lot to do with mind state. I did swimming and breath holding exercises before I went to Indo. 1st go down and I thought I was going to die. If you're mind is strong, that's where the benefit lies. Don't think mine is How about the guy at Cloudbreak last year? 2 wave hold down. Can't r...

Shit commentary is part of the sport within sport. We have opinions of who is and who isn't good at it, and we express them. When we don't like someone, it makes us feel better to have a bitch. Human nature noreasterly, you do have a stake. Unless that is, you've never purchased anything from any of...
