ive been having a shit load of bad luck lately, 3 broken boards in 6 weeks. Funny thing is, after breaking 2 or 3 inches off a 6'1, sanding it back and sealing it, i feel like its surfing better than before?! Strange cause no part of the board that is ever in contact with the water has changed. Just...

Where ever its held the locals have a fair bit of bargaining power. The Chile event saw almost only local wildcards after the locals basically said its gonna be like that or not at all. I think the claims about the Gnarloo area being too fragile an ecosystem are a bit of a wank to be honest. Ive stu...

Good story mate, makes me think i really need to do some swimming, get the fitness up incase I get stuck in a similar position. I was surfing a section of Narrabeen that was only pushing 4-5 foot on the sets this morning, but still big enough to give a decent hold down. Even in that size I was think...

it seems that only the surfers that never go near heavy waves are the ones that pay out on bodyboarding, because they only ever see it demonstrated in crud beachies, and not where it finds its element, in heavy ledging reefs. sit those guys down and show them a recent BB vid and watch them blow out...

i dont know about u guys but id prefer a beachie at 4-6ft with real wedgy, peaky banks going nice n hollow and all that jazz than surf a reefy the same size. beachies have so much more variation n altho the duckdivin aspect gets annoyin some surfs but it feels so much more rewarding after hours of ...

dont really think the bb population is growing, its just that they centre themselves around a small number of reefbreaks. Surfers can have a fun surf in a huge variety of waves, one of the reasons I ditched the lid for a stick, but boogers really just chase heavy slabs and barrels. thats the way it ...

if you've been going south for that long you must be pretty pissed off about the huge crowds that have really only started hitting the area in the last 3 years or so. back then a few guys even paddled out to a now famous Bommie, when it was unheard of surfing it. Now its crowded as fuck, though now ...

its not the fact that he prayed for waves, your right, people pray for all sorts of things all the time, which is fine if that gives you some peace. its the fact that he really believes that 'God' heard his prayers and especially answered them, delivering him the waves he was asking for, and even pu...

i never attacked him as a person, i know people who are mates with him and i know he is a great guy/ nice person. thats not my issue with it, if it makes him happy and a better person, then great, but i stand by the fact that its a spit in the face of thousands of other people who have suffered more...
