Re: Global Warming

its alarming how so many sceptics seem to be indicating that there is no point in reducing emissions because climate change is not anthrapogenic. There are many other serious issues the environment is facing because of our buring fossil fuels, so even if climate change is not anthropogenic at all it...

Re: Nicks' New Fat-Bat

Nice sounding board Mark & NC. Looks like a great few mods that id like on my 'bat too. Its interesting to read your exchange to eachother about the design process, good to hear some of that knowledge coming through. Im shit scared of my boards, like time I surfed my fat-bat i copped the rail to the...

Re: Who has right of way?

The first rule on paddling out is to work out who are the kooks to be avoided, the red hot shredders who may make life difficult, and the roid rage monsters, who are to be avoided. A lot of people are out there tea-bagging, or chatting away. Identify them early, sit near them and pick off their wav...

Re: Quadfather Project Board....

Sounds good mark, ill definatly be up for a ride once it gets to the northern beaches. Sounds a little like the 6'4 round tail thruster you did me as my step-up board, Id love to try it in a quad.

Re: Indonesian Karma

I like our shallow view of karma, Last week i saw an old man drop 20 bucks, I grabbed the money and gave it back to him, the next day, outside the same shop a lady drpped a bag, again I returned it. Then yesterday im leaving the same shop with the missus when a bloke runs up and taps me on the shoul...

Re: Huey is a PRICK!!!

After praising huey a few weeks ago I have now gone back to thinking he is a prick after all.
Getting sick and missing the last swell a week ago is being blamed on that prick huey too.

Re: what's the shittest wave in sydney?

This question needs to be defined a little better. Is it 'whats the shittest wave in Sydney when that spot is working? or shittest spot concistently? My votes would go to Collaroy and Warriewood, but in saying that, some of the best waves ive had have been at these spots. Collaroy on the right swell...

Re: Terraforming surf breaks ...

Removing one of those big rocks at Bower would make linking winki with the bower far better on bigger swells.

Re: Forefronts of board design

Like the look of them all, the webber sounds too good to be true. I find myself reaching for my fat-bat for most conditions now, and more standard shorty quad when the waves get a bit better. They're great fun to ride. I think these type of boards are going to keep getting more popular, fun, easier ...
