Re: that wetsuit discussion...
Just got a complete replacement suit for my O'Niell Psycho 3 that had all the liquid seams go bust after 2 months. The new suit feels better already, better fit and more elastic. Seems the lemon batch that was failing on everyone also had less elastic seams, maybe something to do with it failing? D...

Re: Twinzers!!
Hmmmmm Twizers sounds fun. Another avenue to spend money I don't have... haha :) The eternal issue of an eclectic surfboard taste - lots of boards to try and not enough time or money. I had a good excuse because I put on some extra weight and my boards weren't paddling very well anymore. I know a b...

Re: Twinzers!!
Whats the placement of the main fins in the twinzer with respect to the tail SS? The one I'm riding has the main fins quite rear-set (don't have it handy to measure right now) so its super sure footed. I surfed solid 4-6ft point waves yesterday and it was fully dependable at speed and during aggress...

Twinzers!!
So, whos ridden one? What are peoples thoughts? My newest addition to the quiver is a twinzer by MP, and HOLY S%&T! Absolutely fricken fabulous! Feels faster and with more flow than a twin, whips and snaps well, AND can be jammed and hooked without the same slipperiness twins can be known for. A bit...

Re: Quadcopters, or Drones.
Those things amaze me. There have been quite a few times recently I've been sitting in the surf in Sydney and someone starts driving a drone around the lineup. Every time it happens I think to myself - welcome to the 21st century. Something that would have been exclusively for Hollywood or the milit...

Re: supraspinatus tear
Its probably a bit early to surf with it if its still aching at night, but if you do, make sure you paddle with your shoulder blades pulled down and back. Thats especially important while your elbow lifts up to reach out for the next stroke. Thats your typical impingement range during paddle.

Re: that wetsuit discussion...
So, after my psycho 3 falling to bits after 2 months, luckily O'Niell are replacing it. The unlucky bit is supposedly there is a batch of Psycho 3's out there that were all lemons. The liquid seams (the black tar looking stuff) was dodgey and failed really early for a whole big batch. The new batch ...

The best thing you can do is go through the diagnostic process. See a good physio who can do proper assessment first. He can recomend to your doctor what scans are needed to confirm. Even if it is the rotator cuff, once the healing process has progressed a little and the inflammation isnt so bad the...

Re: that wetsuit discussion...
Hows this, bought a brand new O'Niell Psycho 3 around 1.5-2 months ago. Seams are already failing where they have the most strain put on them around the shoulders. One seam has split at the shoulder from all of the stretching that goes on during paddling to make a 0.5-1cm hole right through. Not hap...

Meyerhoffer shortboard
http://www.surfindustries.com/surfboards/meyerhoffer_slipIn.php Anyone tried it? I have to say, it looks like a dangleberry to me and nothing like the boards I like. I'm super keen on the parallel rail thing at the moment, ala modern mini simmons / planing hulls whatever you call them. I'm happy fo...

So anyone else seen this film yet?
I don't believe its out on DVD yet, I think they're still trying to ride the hype for short release cimena runs.

Re: The Finless Beast - R&D Log
I tried this board out and it actually goes pretty damn good! I feels like it paddles slow, I have no idea why because it would have around 36-38L of volme going for it and a flat rocker. So far in 2-4ft beachies it holds in like a tropper and has an awesome flat pannel in the middle 3rd which is re...

Re: JBay.
Tis a good point. It makes total sense. I mean, what is the point of pro surfing? Yes, it was initially to pave the way for surfing to be considered a legitimate professional sport worthy of respect. That was achieved long ago. Now, what is the point of pro surfing? Initially it was backed by the ma...

Anyone had any expereience with Adelio wetties? I believe they're a small outfit based in the Central Coast of Sydney. I've seen a 2mm short arm long leg version a mate has and it looks pretty damn good! Up there with O'Niell in terms of glued seams etc. Pretty well priced too, If they are competiti...

I recently chucked my Ebomb which was falling to bits in favour of the O'Niell Psycho 3. You summed it up super well NC. I've experienced the splitting of the internal seam glue as well and am in two minds about taking it back and saying "what the?". It was only weeks old when they starting splittin...

Re: C - Drive Fins
I was using the quad set for a while and wasn't fully sold on them. There was plenty of drive which could feel tracky at times, and then it could release quickly and unpredictably at times too. It was also hard to tell if that drive was purely because I was going from composite fins to fibreglass to...
