Re: Just general surfing stuff

What exactly is your point, Beans? I gave up on pro surfing after Owen made his comeback from a brain injury apparently endured whilst surfing. When that clearly wasn’t the case. He was gifted that Snapper win which was heralded as one of the greatest sporting comebacks ever. It was horseshit and I ...

Funny how much speculation has centred around Owen and now Tyler. Coincidence?
Good point
It’s a fairly well known fact that Owen was on a coke bender for days before he didn’t actually paddle out at Pipe on the day that caused his brain injury.

Re: Just general surfing stuff

So in that telling Rob and Fiona are dedicated, loving parents. In Tyler's telling Rob is an abusive, controlling Dad who caused her severe trauma. Reckon the truth might be somewhere in the middle. Did Rob and Fiona push them? You don’t get that good without some parental “encouragement”. Was Rob ...

Re: Just general surfing stuff

I remember Fred telling me about his visit to the Wright home when we were mates and before he became a RWNJ. He said Tyler was the biggest pain in the arse out of the whole lot of them. I only met Rob twice. Once when he lurched after pulling out of the Lennox car park and I ran up his arse. 😂 And ...

Re: Just general surfing stuff

I used to watch every heat about ten years ago. I now find it boring and only watch JJ’s heats. Maybe a few others. I did watch Kelly lose yesterday and was rooting for him. It’s a sad way to go out. Even though he surfed OK in the heat I believe he should’ve retired after his Pipe win. He’s a massi...

Re: Just general surfing stuff

Gutted that my comp is called off tomorrow. Happens anytime the swell is biggish on the beaches. Might be time to join Burleigh.

Do you do all of those with a kettlebell Steve?

I’m gonna get on this program but looks like they use dumbbells in the videos I watched?

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Just had a look on the cams Channels. Still looks like there’s some lines but the tide has filled in and swallowed it. Would’ve been heaps of fun at 3.00 when you were out there. Banks look ok too: unlike up here.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

. Let's say I was selling something on the Gumtree. If someone said they'll pay me via PayPal I'd laugh. If someone said they'd pay me via western union I'd be even more amused. Why not pay pal? There’s well known Pay Pal scams operating on all the marketplaces especially the Gumtree. The only way ...

Very true Thudster. I like it when it gets above 3 foot up here. The sweep and inability to use their equipment sorts out the majority.
