Re: Reckon its possible to over surf?
I find that a good break does you wonders. Especially if you've had a few sessions in a row where you haven't surfed very well. I remember last winter there were a few days where i couldn't even stand up... I literally had to paddle wide into the channel at Cronulla Point and give myself some counse...

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Finally some waves. Monday... couple of waves at Wombarra Reef on my 5'10 fish, pretty ordinary right handers. Tuesday morning... Amazing sunrise. 1st surf in a steamer since last year because of the chilly offshore breeze. 3 hours on my longboard getting some cross-stepping practice in. Tuesday Arv...

And here i was thinking it was a great idea to take 3 weeks off work to take full advantage of the Autumn surf.... what a hoax.
Anzac Day last year, everywhere was cranking... good chance it'll be flat this year...

Re: Any suggestion for choosing a deck grip?
I went and pcked up the plain black Carve tail pad from Bondi this arvo. Farking $60 though.... It's on my board already. Bit of a gamble seeing as i haven't surfed it. I had a read of a few threads e.g Diggers new quad, then just took a punt. Pretty happy with how it looks and i'm really keen to ge...

Re: Any suggestion for choosing a deck grip?
I recently bought a round tailed board and couldn't believe how hard it was to find a round tailed tail pad. I had a black/grey one on my Waterskate that a mate gave me years ago, and this time thought i'd look for something a little more colourful. I didn't want a square or swallow tailed grip as i...

Re: Finless.Derek hynd, ridiculous!!!!!
i'm sure it's hard... but guys have been riding stand-up on boogers for years. that's got to be harder seeing they have less rail to turn off and less contours in the board.

Re: Quadfather Project Board....
My new Quadfather was delivered today.... Hopefully there'll be some waves next week once it's fully cured. Nice looking board. It's going to be my biggest surfing challenge so far. Lowest volume board i've owned. Can't wait. Thanks again for getting it down here before your holiday Mark. Super smoo...

Re: ever made a board you just want to smash with an axe?
I've did it with a problem laptop once... I smashed it good, really taught it a lesson... scared the s#@t out of my mates mrs in the process.
You WILL feel 100% better at the end of it... forget about the money and time you've put in... just smash it up and start again.

I reckon i'll get a rabbidge one day for sure, great excuse to head down to bendalong for a surf... have you seen his channel bottom roundtail quads.... they are probably the sexiest surfboards i've layed my eyes and hands on... I wonder how they go. There's a few pics on his website, but they don't...

I definitely don't want to risk it. Here's what i'm thinking for example, It's pumping overhead to overhead and a half... what i'd call 4-6ft, touchie subject i know ;) The board's been out of the glassing factory about 12 days... not quite 2 weeks... don't want to surf the 6'2 dominator because I h...

When I got my first PU custom from Grant Miller I wasn't in such a hurry and didn't pick it up until he said it was ready to surf. I'm getting my board delivered over the next couple of days. How do you visually tell that the board needs more time to cure? Is it even a visual indication? Or is it li...

I've surfed with you at Maroubra and then a few months later bumped into you at Bulli.
