Re: Just general surfing stuff
When it's 8' or over there aren't many options in Newcastle. The waves off the Newcastle ocean baths right in town can hold some size, but Ladies is the name of the right hander at Merewether, which is where it's at when the swell is big. The take off area for Ladies is out front of the north end of...

Re: new project
That's OK too, just saying what I would find more interesting that's all.
I have an inkling Mr. Braithy has more to say than pro surfing and surf industry commentary.
Anyway, shouldn't you be at your cyclist kissing booth or something?

Well not really. Instead of saying, 10 x more calcium than a glass of milk per 2 tablespoons of Chia, I mean a nutrition breakdown for the finished mug of chia gruel. Per recipe. And numbers. Five hundred times the chromium of the square root of Latvias GDP in đồng multiplied by the atomic mass of ...

Anyone ever had a board shaped in PU foam then taken it somewhere else to have it glassed in epoxy because your shaper doesn't do epoxy?
I like the weight of PU boards but sick of them getting beaten up on planes.

The old Sharkcat boats were quite variable in design and quality.

Oh I agree BP, town is the goods but there are just soooo many good surfers and a bit of size doesn't alleviate the crowd like it does at a lot of places. Re: How old are you? Seriously!
I always found it funny in Newcastle you had Bar Beach Locals, Dixon Park Locals and Merewether Locals then in between all of these sub species. All on basically one beach about the length of Bondi. Plenty of good surf though. I never used to surf in town, didn't like it and didn't have to, lots of...
