Re: Dane Reynolds' Haleiwa turn
I've got a pair of diamond dobbys that are Dane ones. So now we know his moment of hipness has past. Old grey hair blokes wear them. They are retro so therefore they just look like a pair of boardies to old blokes. Still unsure of the miraculous qualities of either the boardies or the turn of the ce...

Phil Edwards first ever re entry, Wayne Lynch upside down backhand reo, Michael Ho's broken arm backside rail grabbing turn, Simon Andersons huge layback backhand turn at pipe.

Re: Fashion.
Trent Nathan recommends a navy blazer with brass buttons. Can be worn with jeans or dressed up with white chinos. For a full Thurston Howell the third look a capt. hat, martini and cigarette holder complete the look.....or just wear sluggos underneath for a dodgy deviant look.

Re: Crowded point breaks
The main reason I went all peace and love in the line up is because as soon as you say "hey, I drop in at Snapper cause its crowded" every other mediocre surfer who is reading these threads partly to work out protocals in the surf thinks,"yeah, I'm pretty hot, I'm going to burn everyone at the local...

Re: Crowded point breaks
The thing about this thread is that all the opponents of actually doing what they know they should do anyway immediately turn it into a case of us hot proper surfers and kooks. Not talking about that at all. I'm just talking about those times when you could be generous and fair. Summers coming. Shar...

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Bit of solar ding repair. Funny the resin one seems to set better than the epoxy one. A bit of fun at the local with the crowds. Gee no one going out of their way to burn everyone. Good vibes in the water.

Re: Crowded point breaks
Agree with everything shearer has said. I find it preposterous that someone would complain they can't get waves. Whether one gets waves or not is entirely up to themselves. It is not for others to give or share waves. And there we have it. Obviously missing the point. Sure you can go out of your wa...

Re: Who wants one, tight shorts optional
I presume it is for a niche market who would like to see a glam rock graphic of NC hanging on the wall. It looks too nice to surf. Would probably go pretty good for the type. Maybe Nick can do a reissue of the style. Like the Dora Black Cat Model.

Re: Crowded point breaks
I'm a vulture too when I am out of my local area, one thing to remember is it's always harder to burn someone after you've said hello. I can understand where the guy grabbing the second wave was coming from, every time there's a swell they get raped and pillaged. That was before the internet, now i...

Re: places you will never surf again
Plenty of people in the Eastern burbs come from Nth Beaches. Of course you wouldn't meet them if you never go there would you. Tend to move back when they have kids if ever. The rest stay. Funny my whole knowledge of Sydney came from Tracks Magazine growing up. So the Nth Beaches was pretty much the...

Re: places you will never surf again
Went for a run at low tide this arvo. Some of the women were mind boggling. Sun shining, blue sky, just great. Then I had to go back to work for a couple of hours for a late function. Did nothing and just felt cruisy as. When I worked on the north side, i.e. Manly area, one older guy had no idea whe...

Re: places you will never surf again
I think they should put an imigration detention centre right on the point or start sand mining there again. That will create lots of jobs too on the gold coast. Nah, neither of those would root up an iconic bit of surf as much as a marina. Definitely the equvalent of mining Mt Panorama for a rev head.

Re: Crowded point breaks
Just a note to all those hot shots who know they are dominating the take off and scoring 10,00000,000000,00000000 waves in the session. You know when your paddling back out totaly amping after your last ride and an average one comes through for the poor sucker who hasn't dropped in on you for the la...

Re: Crowded point breaks
Yeah, spring is here so its time for the annual realsurf forum attempt to justify dropping in. No its not so don't do it. Wouldn't dream of taking off behind the rock at snapper but then most of the hot shots are only riding the first section anyway. Then they go back out to beat their chests and ar...
