Yeah, I used to surf at a spot frequented by female pro longboarders.
My wife would get cold and get out of the water before us, she often got asked to undo their wettie zips and there were two that used to shampoo each other's hair each morning.

Re: quiet
Just on the 2+1 comment as well. Made a 2+1 for first board but goes so much better as a single due to the flatness, it has ok rocker but thinking need decent (not outrageous) bottom curve to get full benefit for the 2+1 and hence not to wide. that's why I don't shape, and limit my involvement to v...

Re: quiet
I don't shape so I don't have much to contribute to this section, but I've just ordered a newy. Similar idea to Tiger, a 6'3" step up from my 5'11" small wave quad. It'll be a 2+1, super amped! Good to hear you sorted out your house stuff Digger, sounds like lots of fun. The twinny sounds interestin...

ahh....no.still here wrote:Insects and crustacea have a common ancestor , and are in fact one and the same thing - like humans are primates .
Insects and crustacea are both arthropods.
They are not both insects, nor are they one and the same.
Just for starters, they have different numbers of legs.

Re: top of the heap ?
Ace Buchan is probably the best of the pros I've seen close up. thought he was the pick at Jbay Reckon the judging criteria let Ace down a bit, or maybe it's that he doesn't play to them enough. I still can't figure out how he got two barrels on different waves in the one ride and didn't get a 10. ...

Re: top of the heap ?
How can you know? Shane Dorian? Bruce Irons? Ace Buchan is probably the best of the pros I've seen close up. But the best surfer I've ever seen is a 15 yr old Indonesian boat driver on Lombok. Completely ambidextrous, would surf without a leash and just stand up whichever way was required. Then he'd...

you sure do seem to do a lot of 5 fin boards, Josh.

Re: Board washers
I used to do both.
Now I just rinse.
But I'm going to start towelling the thing down meticulously, just to mess with people.
Got a new chamois just itching to be used.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
surfed a bank that's normally only present for a few days after a decent swell, except in summer. The wind was strong cross-off, which is actually needed for the break to work properly. It's never crowded. Never looks good from the beach, and takes a bit of time to get it wired each time, but it's w...

Just out of curiousity Oldman, how did you think they got back into the atmosphere without engines You must know that all satellites are on degrading orbits. The trick isn't in bringing them back, it's in keeping them up there. I always assumed they used a vacuum cleaner. You're a more pa...

not only do/did the shuttles have engines, but you can get one for free . As long as you live in the US and can pay postage. Read the comments... btw, the rockets used for docking and positioning (reaction control systems)are called thrusters. The big ones (orbital manoeuvering systems) are st...
