Sometimes you see some good ones at Kirra with no one around and paddle out and realise quickly you have no chance of holding position and gotta hope you get one quickly.

Apparently the sweep wasn’t too bad that sesh though.

You get little bits of sections that start working and if you’re onto it you can score.

Most of the crowd would have been on the cooly - spot x bank until word got out.

The roundhouse to finish was better than any turn he’s done on tour this year.

Can be tricky to be in the spot.
Sometimes it’s really consistent though and you conveyor belt back out again and again (not today).
It’s a little awkward to surf on the backhand I find.
But I got a few and also some good rights that forced me into a couple of runarounds.

Yeh, found a sneaky high tide bank.
One guy out.
He came in just before I paddled out.
Got 30-40 minutes before the tide dropped a bit and wind puffed up.

I paddled out anyway as couldn’t see it too good in the glare.
Rips and water moving everywhere, disjointed banks way out to sea even on high tide.

Hopefully rearranged in to something better quickly.

Banks are fucked around here today.

I’ve surfed them at the tub.

Didn’t pick any up off the rack.

Point again.
Was horrible, looked ok.
Board was good though. Happy with it. No pressure dings after two surfs so well made.
Construction feels like the pyzels I’ve had.

Is that the original RS barbie?

I think a lot of my favourite surfers were bong - occ, Parko, Andy, Margo, Louie, Rasta
Seemed all the guys with the best style, for me anyway. Bar curren.
And all the no name sponsored surfers you'd come across in the lineups, the worst behaved always seemed to be rip curl.

I reckon the best looking major sponsor sticker on a board is billabong.

Maybe unconscious bias from growing up watching jack McCoy films with Occ.

Didn’t she surf under rip curl the first half of her career?
