Re: Quad Guns
I may have used the wrong word, wouldn't rocker have to be different between a quad and a single? That's where I thought there would be a compromise.

Re: Boards U Wish U'd kept ?
Handshaped Pat Rawson 7'2" Best eva Kirk Bierke 7'2" 2nd best eva But the one that brings tears to my eyes thinking of it , insane board but more for what it would be worth now. I picked up an 8'8" in the second hand rack at the blue hawaii factory on ohau, had a red and grey spray on it, i was surf...

Re: Quad Guns
Dave, my boards don't go up to that size and I don't want them too, for my own safety. I'm just wondering having a board with boxes so you can have both quad and single, isn't it a bit of a compromise as the curve of the board would be different for a single apposed to a quad, it' has to be tweeked ...

Re: Quad Guns
Just got a 7'6 and 8'0" and for the last 3 and 1/2 years I've had a 7'3' a 7'9" and 8'4". I have not ridden anything but quads in that time, alot of people think they out run waves, but you can stall them, I like small fins in the rear to loosen it up. The waves I surf don't want to let you in so i...

Re: Does anyone else find watching surfing boring?
Do anyone else find it boring to watch? Ha ha I bet you wouldn't find it boring if you were watching yourself. I hate watching myself surfing, I'd much rather live in the fantasy world that my surfing looks as good as it actually feels at the time, my awkward style of surfing is best hidden in the ...

Re: Does anyone else find watching surfing boring?
It shits all over watching Cricket, Cycling, Cricket, golf, cricket, AFL - unless your team is playing, Cricket, two scrub NRL teams fumbling a ball in the rain and cricket. Even in bad waves it's better then the above mentioned. The only one of those I like watching is AFL, any team as long as it'...

Does anyone else find watching surfing boring?
Over the years I have tried watching surfing contests, live and of late on the computer and it's just plain boring. The only time I really enjoy watching is whilst I am paddling back out.
Do anyone else find it boring to watch?

Re: Where did you surf today ?
I take back every thing I have said about Victoria, surfed everyday for the last 2 weeks, had 4 surf over the last 24 hours all 4 to 6 foot. Life is sweet. Having said that all the forecasts say tomorrows the day, so chances are it will be a hoax like 2 weekends ago

Re: What's to be done with SUPs
I wouldn't paddle my SUP out to a wave that is worth surfing on a shotboard, Lennox would be great fun though :) but I could surf it on a short board so that would be it. I surf waves that are not worth surfing on a short board, though there are some trying too, some guys get pissed cause I am catch...

Re: What's to be done with SUPs
Where I live all the sup surfers are good shortboarders, it's the only way you are going to get in the water and stay fit, they are the natural enemy of the longboarder, so what not to like about them :D I can see problems in the more crowded parts of the coast where some of them have never even sur...

Re: Surf/Weather - what's coming Mar/Apr?
Well if you reckon it's warm steve then it is probably like a spa, so I'm not having a bar of it, couldn't be any more crowded than the west coast of Vicco at easter though could it? Water temp now is 18.6 , that's just right in my book. I'll be happy to stay home, wont be bothered by those young pr...

Re: Surf/Weather - what's coming Mar/Apr?
And it goes without saying that it's going to be crap where I live too, might fly up to Lennox. Or phillip island that's a good call. That left on the peninsular, keep that one quiet no one will be onto that, not really worth driving west of torquay.
